know nothing about Norway train routes, but just watched a t.v series called mighty trains and it covered a route up to Bodo think that what it was called?anyway had quick look through 1st few pages and notice nothing on Norway routes.so is there any tsw players over there in Norway that would like to see a route made?I ask because after watching mighty trains i think it would add some interesting routes to the game, plus some of the history behind it.also we could get to drive a train over the Arctic circle.
The iron ore line from the Swedish Border to Narvik is spectacular- I would recommend the sleeper from Stockholm as that’s what I caught. you can have the local EMU’s, The sleeper train and the endless iron ore trains loading and unloading at the docks.
I saw the same episode and thought, what a great route this would make for TSW2! Very beautiful scenery and trains that are different than what we already have.
yes its a really good tv series, liked the aussie one the routes are that long the drivers have there own cooker,so many routes and countries they cover, well worth a watch if you like trains.
It’s seemingly ideal. It is single line but there are lots of passing loops and the complex around the iron ore loading docks would provide plenty of interest. I would adore to drive those blue LKAB locomotives- I believe they are the most powerful in Europe.
Incredible Incredible- it’s making me want to visit again I’d so love it to be a route but maybe it wouldn’t have the enthusiasm of the British and German routes. Maybe if the Arosa Line proves popular they might consider it as they will have had practice with mountains. Its so rich in history as well with the WW2 fortifications and the sunken warships which can still be seen rusting away in the fjord. I would always recommend a visit.
Nice- I also love the Bergen to Oslo line but that’s probably not as well suited to TSW. Show us your pictures of yesterday’s trip if you have any!
