Just a quick on my Mrs was laughing that I was coming up to 250 hours played on this game according to steam but I bet that is nothing to some veterans on here just wondering what else other people are up to ? Mine would be a load higher but I didn't have a gameworthy pc for 4 years only just got one in the last year
Somewhere in the region of 7000 hours I think, but if Blender and Photoshop recorded usage stats, that would give a more accurate reflection of time spent involved in TS related activity.
So... I purchased TS2014 back in Nov 2013 on a whim, it came with London Faversham, Hamburg & Donner Pass. I played London Faversham for an hour or so, I'm not really into EU or US rail and at the time only had a very fleeting interest in UK rail. I then didn't fire up TS until February of this year which by this point had updated itself to TS2019 of course, I'm not sure what happened but the bug bit and it bit hard, I'm now at 511.7 hrs, 110 DLC's and also own a RailDriver controller. For a little perspective I work a fulltime 4 on 4 off night shift pattern so in 9 months (of which 4 & 1/2 were obviously spent at work) and with time spent with the good Wife instead of staring at a PC monitor for personal wellbeing reasons (i.e. she'd kill me if I didn't spend at least the odd quality day in her fine company "away from that bloody computer" as she puts it) not to mention decorating, gardening, shopping and so on, hmm so when you break it down like that pretty much ALL of my spare free time goes into TS. Oh except I forgot that I managed to complete RDR2 on PC (164.4 hrs) somewhere in amongst all that too.. Damn, maybe I do spend too much time on that "bloody computer" after all.
Just had a quick look (Ts 2021) 2,990 hours and 7 workshop contributions. (TSW 1) 115 hours (TSW 2) 18.1 hours. Mike
TS: 5,500+ hours last time I looked but could probably add another 500 as I play offline. Seems to load faster and smoother offline. This is over a 7 year period. TSW: Ziltch TSW2: ditto
My 1,831 hours on TS seem small by comparison but TSW shows 35.6 I notice the TS Achievements show 80/1270 And the DLC shows 296 items - but that is Steam only and ignores Third Party. Peter
4,000+ hours about 4 years ago. In recent years have played almost entirely offline (game seems more stable, and far less chance of unexpectedly messing up my install). So heaven only knows how many hours by now! But lots of escapism fun for sure.
While most of my play time is within the last year and a half, I have since owned TS 2014 for the longest time after finding it new at a Goodwill for cheap, but didn't play it much.
I was playing the game a lot but with Covid-19 I have been working on building my Model Railway Could do with a 4 Cep and a 71 in TS20xx Peter
TS-7247h TSW1-313h TSW2-160h i love TSW2, i will end up smashing my TS record and yes, i haven't played TS since september 27th, now i prefer TSW2
Nah, I was on 110 Steam DLC items and today I noticed that Cornish mainline was on sale so I got that, I think I'm hellbent on owning all UK routes (for better or worse), got a fair chunk of UK rolling stock and will no doubt eventually end up owning all that too. I suppose I'll have to start on all the third party payware routes then
Phew I'm not too bad 2000hr on Train simulator 607hr on TSW ( I was really suprised by that one, although the speed limit on WSR would account for 500 hrs, ZZzzzz) 76hr on TSW2 although 70 of them hrs are used playing TSW routes as I find the 1 loco choice and tunnels boring
Ts hours currently at1665. Most of those hours have been spent building, but it still seems like a lot for less than a year of owning the game.
