The German safety systems seem just as complicated as positive train control in the US, I wonder if there would ever be a chance where we would see a fully/partially functioning PTC system in an American route. It’s very similar to PZB in that it will stop you within a certain time limit If you don’t slow down for certain limits etc. It differs in that it does show you the upcoming limits on the screen. I think it would be fantastic to have both a functional PTC along with cab signaling/acses depending on the route.
