Neat! There could be more, I'm fairly convinced I spotted a DTG logo as graffiti along the Koln-Aachen route. Need to go back and check.
This is on the other side of the Cologne main station. In the left corner is the bike that I photographed.
Quite a few people enjoy looking for Easter Eggs. Let's not drag this off topic please. Don't like Easter Eggs? Don't post.
I started exploring the Rapid Transit yesterday, I mean every single part, from one end of the line to the other, not found anything yet apart from an annoying glitch where I fell through a gap near a bridge and fell....and kept on falling!
most likely some kind of placeholder that was used for the texturing and sharing of the bycyles around the different routes
The infamous donkey, I like that. I'd like to see a nod to Fishing Sim World though, maybe like a fishing rod or something, lol.
Where is the donkey statue? Think I should start keeping my eyes more open around the game. Thou, football stadium on East Coastway is large enough Easter egg for me. Jokes aside, help to find donkey would be appreciated.
DTG Protagonist Is anyone at DTG able to reveal (in a spoiler warning post for those who don’t want to know) where all the hidden donkeys are? I’d like to take pictures of them all for my collection. The only ones I’ve seen are on the Köln Aachen route where they replace the horse statues next to Köln Hbf.
Wandering around Koln today and finally found where I had spotted the DTG graffiti. Actually there's several of them! There are some clever bits of graffiti in addition to these, I've posted one below. Also I think someone else mentioned, but there are 2 working turntables in Koln yard, I wonder if they'll ever be put to use?
For those who are searching for bikes (are they really an easter egg?) there are some parked on the 1st platform in Augsburg Hbf, Matt and Sam found those on the pre-release stream
At that time I found it on the side of Cologne MainStation, where you can't drive as a player. I'll have a look later to see if that's still there.
There are two, at the approach to the Hohenzollern Bridge behind the Hauptbahnhof. In real life, those pedestals have equestrian statues of German emperors.
I know it's not an Easter egg, but I really like the fictional brand names they use, like EnergyLine, RSTransco, Farshore Logistics and Wave. However, some of them are less imaginative. There was Heavy Haul on the Class 92 Megafret wagons, and in both the Train SImulator and TSW2 versions of London to Faversham High Speed, there is a building near St Pancras humourously branded GRAVEL. Great work. I'll be honest, I was slightly disappointed when the BR204 (and possibly other trains as well) had branded container wagons. I'm surprised Rivet actually paid for the licenses... It's probably because of licensing, but I'd love it if they were intended by DTG as a joke.
The best fictional brand name was 'Crusty Supper' in TS Classic. Was at Edinburgh Waverley, though I can't remember which route - it was either SECML or Edinburgh-Glasgow I cried with laughter at that one
I know it's on Edinburgh - Glasgow and maybe even the Fife Circle route. I've definitely seen crusty supper on one of those routes. What's even more surprising is that it looks pretty much like the upper crust shops that you see at many UK stations.
Make sure to visit Tees yard at 10:00 AM. Also at TVL: if you are lucky you can see this huge bridge open and close
Also on TVL - the cars parked in Saltburn station car park have the three letter route DLC abbreviations in their registration numbers. Definitely remember seeing 'GWE' and 'SPG' on several vehicles, there also might have been 'WSR' as well but can't remember.
The graffiti on the freight wagons on the Penninsula Corridor says' DTG TSW "and above it is also DTG.
A (most likely unintentional) Easter egg. Hope everyone survived this train ride." Agent 47, your target is somewhere on the West Somerset Railway.
