Hey everyone, I'm trying to complete DB 80103 Hagen to Boele - Ruhr-Sieg Nord - BR 185.2 which is the third freight scenario for RSN. I can pull forward to the first objective fine, but when I want to back up to couple to the cars the shunting signal won't turn green and there is no option to contact the signaler. Does anyone know how to get past the signal? It doesn't change on its own (after an hour of waiting)...

You have to contact the signaller to get a path back, so that you can couple up to the wagons.

Hi Lightspeed, thank you for the reply. I do hold down the left side of the D-pad but the option doesn't come up like it does in other scenarios. Not sure why not. Very frustrating. .

If you are using immersion controls hold down b to contact signaller.

I had the same issue on Steam. Could not get past the red signal, even when contacting the signaler. Eventually I re-played the whole journey without hitting the 'Save' button and it was all fine. A most annoying bug, but ok once you realize why it is happening.

Simply saving, without quitting, should affect nothing.

What can often happen while shunting is that the game still has your 'direction' as the last direction in which you were moving, and contacting the signaler causes the game to respond wrt a signal which it thinks is 'in front of' you but which is actually behind you. The solution is not just to switch the reverser, but also to creep forward a couple of yards so your change of direction registers.
