At this moment only the ICE and 423 have LZB functionality. I understand the "preserved crew" is busy porting all the TSW content to TSW 2. Once that has been completed, can you please add LZB to the preserved german locos. The 182, 155,146.2, 425, and 185.2/.5 all have LZB functionality. I understand they are "preserved locos", but DTG already has the code for LZB for the display and analog dashboards, meaning it shouldn't be too hard and costly to implement. PLUS it greatly enhances the gameplay and realism. Running down the LZB section on SKA with only PZB does not feel right. It's a small price to pay and it will satisfy so many of us.
They won't do it. I asked it in a stream Minute 41:18 Question: "Will the BR182 get LZB since it actually runs a NightJet on Koln-Aachen" Basically we won't get TSW2 features in Preserved Collection as "LZB wasn't there when we built the 182"
Most of these trains have in reality no LZB (BR 143, 155, 146.2, 185.2, Dostos). Only the BR 182 and the BR 425 have them
Fair enough, although it would be pretty concerning if two people working for the same company would answer a question like that in two different ways
The 143 doesn't but the rest do. Most of those locos aren't permitted to exceed 160 kmh or less, but on dense routes with LZB sections like part of SKA and HMA, they do drive with LZB in reality. Except for the 143, if you pay attention to all other locos LZB functionality is built into the dashboards and there's also an LZB switch. Most of those locos usually don't drive with LZB as they run freight and regional express services where LZB signaling is rarer, but in these two TSW 2 routes, they do.
It has indeed appeared on my radar to add LZB to the BR182 locomotive. It is not on the roadmap as I don't have anyone to implement it yet. No promises at this time.
Hello, I hope that not only gets the 182 LZB (No promises at this time) . With the BR143 I was wrong because only 30 of almost 600 locomotives were retrofitted with LZB, this does not make sense in the game. But the 146, 182, 185, 425 and control cars need this function. It would be a shame if the most important and most frequently used German trains don't get this function.
You are right about the BR 143. But also the 143 that we have in the game hasn't got the possibility for LZB. The space between the traction and the speed dials doesn't show an LZB distance indicator. As for the other locos you summed up, it would be very cool to have LZB for them, and maybe even PIS for the BR 143 at some stage. That'd be very nice to have
