I hope this isn't a silly question, but what are some of the main differences between the BR 422 & BR 423?
I did ask during the stream, but both Natalie & Sam didn't know, so hopefully someone here has a clue. ;)

The two things that I noticed so far is the curve of the dashboard and the center console.

The bottom one has a strange piece of dashboard art, a very British icon rather than a German one I would have thought!

There appears to be a touch of American as well. (Eye spy Boston)

Found one more difference for those wondering, the BR 423 has LZB just like the two ICE trains in the game, unlike other RE/S-bahn trains.

Judging by google images, they also have different fronts. The BR423 seems to have more rounded headlights, and the BR422 has a more slanted nose.

Br 423 has analogue gauges for speed and traction effort. Br 422 has both digital.

From my experience, the 423 has front end and driver setup (dashboard) very similar to the 425
However, it has 3 doors per car like the 422
Also, in TSW2, the braking on the 423 is MUCH worse than on either the 422 or 425
I overshot a few station very badly initially trying to brake in the 423 like I was driving a 422 or 425

Setting up the destination boards is the same across all 3 (although for now, the 422 has a glitch where the 2nd half of the train has destinations from RT)
Also, the fuses for Sifa, PZB are located in the same general area on all 3 (to the left side, above the dash)

And lastly, the 423 has LZB, which neither the 425 or 422 have in TSW2 (even though you can see the LZB setup on the dash of the 425)

The difference that I notice is that the 423 is braking much slower (a little too slow in my opinion)than the 422 does , or am I the only one that is noticing that?

I hope they will fix the braking , in real life the 423 can brake like hell

There is no need for a fix. The actual braking power of the TSW2 BR423 ist quite realistic. Its at least a bit more that the real BR423 has.

  11. The slow braking is realistic. Matt said that they spoke with a real life driver and he said you have to use 90%-100% all the time when you stop to be on time, it's what they do in real life apparently.
