A late night update? No idea what’s in this. Fingers crossed it’s IOW fixes

 

More likely the layers fix for the new HMA route

 

We'll see in a couple of minutes, but I'd rather not bet on it.

 

It’s to take away the glitch that gives you access to all layers on HMA

 

Natalie announced it was to fix the HMA layers issue.

The one that I did the performance was ok. just a tad less of 25fps and the one drop to about 3 fps, but it was still playable.

They may of ruined our fun, but can they do anything about the stupidly long loading screen times, I can't wait for my PS5 to arrive now!

 

Is the layer update only for those who have HMA?

 

Everyone gets the update, but unless you have HMA installed, then you won't notice a difference. It just fixes an issue where you could trick it into enabling all the traffic layers for the HMA route if you had other compatible DLC routes installed.

 

Has it improved any of the PS4 stuttering?

 

It is to fix the layer issue on consoles

 

It still looks the same even without the layers!

 

Has it been fixed on PC as well, if not the it's unfair...what if this comes out on disc, will the hidden trains be on that, I was just starting to understand the other routes.

 

It was never a problem on PC's it was only a problem on the consoles.

And even no option. Disappointing, very disappointing

 

I'm not going to install the update. I bought the route thanks to being able to unlock the layers, and I'm really enjoying it with the 395 services provided by MSB and RRO. It's much more enjoyable. So far I haven't had any performance issues with the active layers on a PS4 Slim. There is some FPS drop near Munich but that also happens to me without the layers.

 

I did purchase it after all Thursday night/Friday morning after watching you. I had one try with the layers and it crashed part way through. I was going to have another try at sometime but they put a stop to that, lol. It did look good with the extra layers for a while but it is still a good route even without them and I am pleased with my purchase.

I only have base PS4 so that I expect is why it crashed. I can put up with the stuttering here and there as no worse than I thought it would be.

 

Yes Len I have no problem with HMA. Unfortunately I didnt manage to get on before downloading the patch. Which I was quite annoyed at. So will have it in Sunday nights livestream.

 

How long will it be before the next patch?
Does anyone know an approximate date?

 

There has definitely been something different in IOW? As you can now get 500 points for stopping correctly. No timings yet, but the stopping thing has improved

 

Have the textures innth the cab been sorted?

 

I looked soon after the update and around the buttons where the guard would be still have what looks like hexagons around them.
