Hi. I don't know if it's the right place to post this but I have a question about LZB on the BR423. Is it possible to make it drive the train automatically like on the ICE ? As of now, I couldn't find if I could do it as my train continues accelerating upon hitting the LZB target speed, triggering the emergency brake if I don't quickly react. Thanks !

Normally the BR423 could drives on LZB, but not automatically, because it has no AFB. So you have to control the speed of the train manually. The reason why the AFB was not installed in the BR423 and several trains like the BR425 is due to the fact that it is not needed.

AFB is useless if you need to stop at every 3 kilometers.

LZB on the SBahn lines is there to shorten the block size between the trains, not for controlling the train itself. They are more often at a hold than on a run.

Oh okay, thank you ! Since other S-Bahn like services around the world have ATO sections (example: Thameslink), I thought the LZB would act like ATO. Thanks !
