Hoping someone can help, playing MSB, and carrying 15 carriages of cars to Germunden. The train at Max power just continued to loose speed until it reached zero, going up the 2.0% slope

Am I doing something wrong ?

1. Spessart Ramp - some services in the game are not feasible on this section of the route (especially in the rain).
2. For banking operations - banking comm (radio) must be turned ON.
3. Preserved trains are too weak. Many people dream, it will be corrected :)
4. Driving technique. Throttle operation. Sand. Maybe.

Probably - 1. Because of - 3. BR o7

I'm not suggesting anything. I give a potential cause :)

Banking communication is OFF by default. You have to turn it on or the rear loco isn't powering the train, so you'll never make it up the incline.

Switch it on before you set off, (top left button of left hand MFD) and you should notice the train has a lot more power. Get as much speed up as you can before hitting the incline, as the train will decelerate gradually as you're going up. If you hit the start of the incline at around 40 km/h, you should make it up just fine.

Run the throttle around 70-80 percent, which should give you enough speed to get up the ramp without wheel slipping. If the wheels slip, lower the throttle quickly. If you let the wheels slip for too long, you'll lose too much speed and again, you'll come to a stop.

P.S. if you're running PZB, there's a 70 speed limit sign near the top that needs acknowledging. I've been caught out by this and had to start the scenario again, as you can't get the train going on the incline once the emergency brakes are triggered.
