PlayStation Is It Possible To Download Preserved Collection From Tsw2 Back To Tsw2020 For Free?

No, it only works the other way. When you buy the TSW2020 version of a DLC you get the TSW2 version as well, but if you buy the TSW2 version you only get that.

Timing of the purchases doesn’t matter either. So if you have TSW2020 and you later get TSW2, everything you had for TSW2020 will be available to you in TSW2, but if you only have TSW2 and later get TSW2020, nothing goes backwards.

 

Thats really weird. They should have made them free either way. Its a very easy to mistake buy the one for TSW2 and then you have to rebuy it for TSW2020.

 

It’s not ideal but that’s what they went with. You do have to be very careful when buying the DLC as the two versions do look very alike in the store.

 

Even worse is the fact that some of the versions on tsw2 are broken compared to the originals.
They made a similar mistake with rapid transit, some people paid for that before it was offered free.

 

If buying a preserved route, buy the TSW2020 version. You'll automatically get it for TSW2 and TSW2020.

I did this yesterday when picking up HRR in the sale, so I can play it in both versions of the game. HRR seems fine, but with routes rich as LIRR or RT where the audio needs some attention, you can still play in TSW2020 for now

 

Its a better idea with the preserved collection to get the old versions then you get both. Still it is annoying how easy it is to buy the TSW2 one.
Ive had the most problems with EC which is much more stable on TSW2020

 

If you buy them through the store and whilst on your Playstastion it is not so bad.

All I do is search train Sim World 2020, then only 2020 DLC's pop up. Do it through the computer and all sorts pops up now since their store update.
