To be honest, I don’t understand why the door is disabled in the first place. I know that you can’t open the door while the controller isn’t in shutdown position and the selector key is inserted, but why is it still disabled when neither of those are true?
My guess it's a TfL thing, they don't want you to walk in the tunnels probably. They have a reputation for setting rather strict conditions in order to license something.
I’m pretty sure it’s to do with licensing. I think it was allowed on the condition that the Doors were disabled. Maybe to prevent people from trying to walk down the tunnel during the game? I can see why they would want this if this were the case.
Ah okay, that makes sense. I can see it being a safety hazard if they allow people to walk down the tunnels.
It doesn’t make sens now as you can use the class 483 and open the front door and walking on the tunnel
It’s fine as it is. No need to change anything. It’s not like the driver would ordinarily jump out of the front of the train in the tunnel so no need for the virtual driver to do it just for a laugh. It’s no big loss, especially if everybody knows another way to do it.
Do you think dtg decided to do this before the off the rails mode was added because without it you couldn't easily acsess the tunnels, but when it was added they simply chose not to change it.
