What routes would you like to see extended? I'd Like to see LIRR Extended along the Port Washington Branch, East Coastway to London Victoria, GWR gets a Heathrow Express Extension (With the Elizabeth Line), and a Bakerloo extension to Watford Junction and London Euston (With the Class 710/378).
Lirr port Washington for me and dovetail please extend the lirr route to ronkonkoma or Huntington or add the dual mode diesel locomotive and extend the route to port Jefferson where the dual mode diesel locomotive run.
RRO extended to Düsseldorf or Mönchen-Gladbach Line RE 4 RE 13 and S8 , RSN extended to Siegen Line RE 16 and RB 91 and HRR extended to Dortmund und Düsseldorf Line RE 1, RE 11, S 1
I'd like to see an extension for East Coastway with the line from Eastbourne to Ashford (42 miles), including the class 171. It'd also be nice to see the Bury line from Man Vic for NTP, which is about 9 miles, with the class 504 EMU.
Don’t they only run a couple of trains a day to and from Gilroy? Hardly seems worth an extension for such a limited timetable.
I really want to see an extension for ECW or GWR... Any British route really. For ECW, I think it would be a better idea if they added Brighton to London Victoria since it would contain new scenery(buildings, new stations) and it would also allow us to use the 12 carriage trains.
I would like to see the LIRR and the Koln Aachen route extended because the route is too short for the ice train and it's such a stunning route to drive
3 in the morning, 3 in the afternoon. Now cut down to 2 since the pandemic. The line is still part of UP's Coast Line though, but it doesn't see mainline freight (Aside from a once in awhile empty autorack train), at most local freight transferred to Watsonville Junction and the local that serves Hollister (If that still runs). Outside of that is the Coast Starlight, but it only has one stop in the area (San Jose) since Salinas is too far for a proposed extension.
They did say in a stream that they couldn't get heathrow express because of a liceensing. Maybe if gwe is rebuilt and they get the TFL Rail license, maybe we could get tfl rail services to Heathrow
I think DTG have heard enough of us mention extensions, it should be a possibility now. Not wishing to hurry them but, DTG team, try to consider this. If we can drive 300 miles in TS2020 I am sure we can do 70-80 or 100 miles in UE4 without it crying for more memory.
That isn't the case. The airport itself owns the Airport extension part of the route, and the current licenser will not give the license to DTG, for unknown reasons as far as i know
This is correct. The line from Heathrow Junction is owned by HAL and they are notorious for not providing help to anyone with some sort of profit heading their way. Had the line been still in the hands of BAA, it would possibly have been a different story but HAL is owned by the Spanish Ferrovial group and no longer under British control.
HAL took over all of BAA's Heathrow interests including the airport branch and HAL is owned by Ferrovial (a spanish company).
Now that they can use the new tool for autogeneration on the LGV route it may be possible. But I would and many others have mentioned too, they would pay for extensions
As much as I would like to see an extension of ECW to London Victoria, it's really an entirely different line. An extension from Eastbourne to Hastings would make a lot of sense, as it would complete the East Coastway and make the entire service playable. Players can buy East Coastway: Brighton to Eastbourne & Seaford, or East Coastway: Eastbourne to Hastings, with the possibility of combining both into one route. The western half of the route would reuse the 377/4 model already included in ECW, and it could introduce the two-car 171/7 (that runs between Eastbourne and Ashford.
I cant stand that corny short run of Penn to/from Woodside smfh..shouldve at least had the full route or to at least Great Neck!!
There’s an even worse one in RRO. Seemingly hundreds of Wuppertal to Wuppertal-Steinbeck services, less than a kilometre in length each, and you have to scroll through them all in the menu to get to a proper service. They definitely should have been AI only or omitted entirely.
The entire port washington branch is only 18.1 miles long penn station to port washington station. They could've added the entie line in my opinion
I’d imagine that if this was to ever happen, it would be very likely. I mean, the services for the Port Washington branch are already there, so why not?
Not a single mention of Oakville extension to Toronto? With GO Transit? Ok. Also following the TS20xx model and making LGV in the future go all the way to Lyon would create a massive 300kph route. A true high-speed king of the game.
A GWE extension would be great as the current HST runs are a bit limited in terms of stops etc. Oxford would be do-able and if we are being more hopeful/ambitious then maybe over to Bristol or Worcester
I would like to see the LIRR route extended from Woodside to Port Washington, Mineola to Oyster Bay, and from Hicksville to Port Jefferson. With the new addition of autogeneration where Digital Elevation Models are utilized to generate topography as well as blueprints to help out with some of the scenery placement, I really hope this will make it easier to possibly extend older TSW routes. The LIRR should definitely get an extension on it's current branches in TSW along with the addition of the LIRR C3/DM30AC.
All they would have to do if they were to add the Port Washington branch is to change the car consists because 6 car consists don't run on the Port Washington Branch. 8, 10 and 12 car trains run on the Port Washington Branch in real life
Actually, that'd be a good thing regardless. I feel like there are way too many 6 car services on the LIRR, 8 car services are rather fine, but the only 10 car services are from Hicksville to Penn Station and vice versa. Not to mention the non-existent 12 car services.
They should definitely finish off GWE by adding the various freight and passenger branches of... West Ealing to Greenford Southall to Brentford (waste terminal) Hayes to Heathrow (pending licence acquisition) West Dtayton to Colnbrook (including Thorney Mill sidings) Slough to Windsor Central Maidenhead to Bourne End and Marlow Twyford to Henley on Thames This would allow for more passenger and freight services including waste and oil trains as well as iconic sights like the River Thames and Windsor Castle. I am surprised that this suggestion has not generated more interest especially when you see the popularity of GWE.
It’s popular but it’s never going to happen so no point supporting it. To take advantage of the branch lines there would have to be extra services put on the route. They can’t put extra services on it because they had to take lots of services out for it to run on consoles. Therefore the technical limits dictate the content. It’s an old route. Add to that the fact that they aren’t doing any route extensions at all and you have a fruitless exercise. The same applies to LIRR. That route struggles with the number of trains on it and the expanded timetable for it was abandoned. Neither route is getting an extension.
It doesn't necessarily have to be a extension per se, but could have a DLC created to cater for the branch services. Several short routes bundled together into a single pack. I would happily pay for that just to be able to explore these lines.
With the next gen consoles already out im sure if a extension could be done in the far future without any performance issues. So to say extensions won't happen at all isn't right. It may happen in the future. They could probably make it work for this gen of consoles as well
For the ECW line I wood love to see a Eastbourne to Ore extension it makes sense for the route. I love to see a extension from Brighton and lewes to London Victoira but I do see that the Eastbourne to Ore extension will be more achievable. Also for the up and coming south eastern high speed route from London st Pancras to faversham I love to see the midway valley line and sheerness line included in the route. In a ideal world have the whole high speed route ( from st Pancras to ebbsfleet international then to ashford, Dover, ramsgate and to faversham) but that wood be a lot of stations.
