DTG, well done, the class 166 is now arguably one of the best sounding locos in the game, give the person who did it a pat on the back, it is BRILL
    Well done

Now to fix the looping/stuck sounds, which does occur on GWE unfortunately also.

The acceleration sounds in the 166 are super cool. It’s just a bit drony at maximum speed.

I’ve also noticed that at maximum speed/maximum throttle, reducing the throttle to off sees the sound wind down as the engine winds down, but if you increase the throttle, the sound immediately seems to jump back to the drony sound. But on the whole, it’s very good.

I agree the sound is better, but what is going on when 62mph is reached?
It sounds like a gear change, it didn't do it before this release.
Having not travelled on a train for 30 years I have no idea if the real train sounds like this.
Is it deliberate or another bug?

It is a transmission change; I am led to believe that this allows the train to achieve a higher speed.

So it's deliberate, it wasn't like this in TSW 2020.
    An improvement I think.

It did do it in TSW2020 but it wasn’t as noticeable due to the sound mix. Much better sounding train overall now.

In TSW 2020 it would only do 90mph now it does 100mph

If that's true, that needs fixing (they can only do 90 in real life).
