PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Dovetail bring NEC to TSW2 I payed for it and want to use it in TSW2 if not Remake it please I want MY ACR and other Trains Back I love the New York Line!! I'm not taking No for an Answer!!!
It's a little odd that they singled out NEC not to redo. CSX Heavy Haul was the very first route so you'd think it would have had similar issues as NEC. Perhaps it gets trickier when you have that many buildings around like in NY? Anyway who knows, it may happen in the distant future past the existing roadmap. I'd suspect DTG will charge again for it though if it's going to reappear.
Last time I posted about it I said I wanted those Amtrak trains (perhaps even if only for scenario builder?). That's all I really care about. Personally I don't care if it would be "not realistic" to run them on other available routes. Sometimes doing something unrealistic is actually even more fun (landing an F16 or an A-10 on aircraft carrier in DCS for example) and FUN is at the heart of what gaming is all about. I've finally uninstalled TSW2020 a few days ago and only keeping tsw2. Quick Edit: There is a post from Sam somewhere here on the Internets addressing this very topic (nec).
What I want is for them to remake the route completely, perhaps a different section but I’m not really familiar with the corridor. The DLC could include both the old and new Acelas and the ACS-64 regional train, and it could have compatibility with CSX trains from Sand Patch Grade. Perhaps it could also be somehow integrated with the LIRR, but that’s a bit of a stretch. But I would definitely buy this if it came out.
That would be awesome! if they could do all of that, but if they didn't want to I think at least just the trains could be a good "compromise" for the time being.
If we get an updated NEC, I want an ACS-64, Acela or Avelia Liberty, and a CSX Genset and ST70AH (SD70ACe-T4) or ET44AH for freight services. What if, however, we get the NEC set in the days of PRR. I would love GG1 and E44 Electrics on the route, plus a diesel switcher (an EMD, Alco, FM, or Baldwin would be great).
