I just noticed that TSW2 is no longer listed as a simulation in the PS store but under Arcade. There it is already called "Train-Imitation-World". The next version is supposed to be called "Train-Experience-World". :D

Is that the same red dead that I play where drinking whiskey and smoking cigars recharges my 'dead eye'!

I'm just worried that DTG will eventually be sued for misleading the game title. :o

But when I have spent hours with TSW again and the next time I tell you that I gambled - then everyone always says:
What you are doing is not gambling !!! Driving a train is not gambling! The players will probably know.
And by the way - model trains are not toys either!

Which clarifies the question now. ;)

Even if TSW has its systems in a partial way, I still think is acceptable as a simulator, the reason is that at least we learn how things work even if it's not very complete. For me it reaches above a 75% of satisfaction for being a simulator or a simulating game, but the idea is basic and simple training.
Since 2003 I've been using FS9 (Flight simulator 2004) with vatsim and all the pro addons available, and that helped me on my first flight IRL. My instructor asked if it really was my very first flight since I could taxi, takeoff, fly around and land without him taking controls on the whole flight, still he gave me more tips and tricks to have in mind in any case that would be needed.
Actually I find anything easier to operate IRL than on simulators.

You may have your opnion that is OK, but what is the point? It will not change anything and I do not know what you expect for say 30 Euros? A real train simulator may cost in the range of 100K Euros, maybe 1000k Euros or more.

It seems a bit of a pointless discussion. Yes, it is not that but it gives a fairly realistic experience for me and it is fun playing it.
