Already my favourite route on TSW2020 (with ECW), here it is on TSW2. So far so good. I don't see any new bug (great news) and it seems the PS4 version finally offers the complete services pack. So no need to use that trick to unlock extra-services. Pretty busy route now, with several red lights. And well, you can finally hear the great class 166 engine sound from the cockpit. I didn't know it was bugged in TSW2020...
Has anyone tried Scenario planner using the HST on NTP? I get a red light at Leeds when departing yet no other train is departing or arriving. Looking at the AI trains I set up at other stations, they’re the same, not moving and all at red..
Now we just need the branch lines added along with the Class 180 DMU and perhaps a Class 59 or other freight locomotive. Please give us some GWE DLC.
I second this! In a similar manner to East Coastway getting DLC, I'd love to see new DLC for GWE. I think the Class 57 would be a a good fit as even now it's put on the sleeper trains in and out of Paddington, although my dream pick would also have to be the Class 180. I don't actually think it's impossible for something like that to happen. DTG clearly care about the route, given the fact that they took the time to improve the visuals and greatly improve the sound on the route, so I live in hope!
I believe it is the only original British route to not get any DLC. We can but hope. Yes also to the Class 57 with sleeper stock.
Just discovered that the hidden services are still in GWE and are still hidden! I guess they did say it was being ported over ‘in situ’ but seems a missed opportunity
You're right and I was wrong: 166 services for the Class 166 in TSW2020, 166 in TSW2. Don't know why, but I felt there were more trains and services...
Can they still be activated by going into a service in journey mode and coming back out to the menu though? In TSW2020 that would activate the additional services.
Yup, access journey mode, go to 1W14 and enter activity, then exit out and hey presto 339 services in timetable mode..... just like TSW 2020
Fantastic to have louder cab noise in the 166, makes a big difference to enjoyment of driving it. Will definitely be revisiting GWE more often now.
Don't know if it is just me, but the HST seems to be even more sluggish than in TSW2020. Took until the Heathrow turnoff until it got to 125mph.
That doesn't seem too out of the ordinary to me. I haven't driven it at speed in TSW2 yet, but in TSW2020 it always took a while for it to reach 125mph, in fact I never remember getting it to that speed before Hayes and Harlington at the absolute earliest. Then again I may be remembering it wrong.
