Peter. Interested to know why ? Is it because of the original date of release by JT ? Bugs, graphics ? I see on Steam there are no user reviews.
I got the route when it came out but the amount of strange things in it gave me the impression it was made by somebody who made model railways. The curves and point work in some of the sidings was much too sharp with buffer locking of stock - although that did not seem to matter. The signals were placed close to each other at Junctions instead of using route indicators to cover more routes. At one end the train goes round a big loop to go back down the line. Going on to the depot Wrong track arrangement Buffer locking Reverse loop
Never really been tempted by the imaginary routes, the only reason I'm considering Totham is because bundled with JT's 153 it's only like 2 Quid more and there may be some assets worthy of harvesting. Definitely think I'll be giving Marsdonshire a miss, for the train colours in the OP if nothing else. Seriously though going by Peters pictures the route doesn't exactly inspire me to part with my hard earned pocket money, I just hope it's never a dependency on anything I want in the future.
The route does run ok but it could have been made better. It uses a lot of Kuju assets and as such looks dated.
Have you ever redownloaded it? There was criticism of the tight curves when it was new and the makers re-laid the track to ease them.
They eased some of the curves but the Signalling was no better and the track layout was still poor. For example This signal takes me to the next one, barely two coach lengths And that takes me to another a short distance away instead of having One Signal for all the routes.
I'm sure Marsdonshire was released by Just Trains in 2014, Totham came out back in 2011, I don't think either of them have been updated with any new-ish assets at all, they don't look like it from Peter's screenshots, although both were extensive routes playability wise. Cheerz. Steve.
