Since DTG are working on making Preserved trains work in the livery editor, what trains do we want to see come first? I'd like the HST and Class 377 come first, as they both have lots of possibilities for liveries. The Class 47 would be good as well.
The HST and 166 for me, so I can put them in a more accurate FGW livery. My main problem GWE is that all the trains wear the green livery while in reality only a very small minority of HSTs and 166s actually wore it.
So, I have chosen 2 locos per country Germany - DB BR 146/2, DoSto Contol Car (The Intermediate coaches too!) AND then the DB BR 182 (as that wipes out 2 out of 3 of the DoSto Pulling locos) United Kingdom - HST Class 43 and Class 377/4 SN America - Baby Bullet + BiLevels and the M7 or M3
I guess DB BR 182 is coming as MRCE version for TSW 2, so it will be paintable in the future, but the others would be nice. DB BR 146 including DoSto Control Car and coaches: for a nice Metronom or IC livery DB BR 185: many color variations for private or international railways DB BR 204: many color variations for private railways (Rivet Games would go along with it) Baby Bullet and BiLevel coaches: for Go Transit trains on OSD in Canada BR Class 43 HST and Class 66: for more color variations on GWE BR Class 377: for more color variations on ECW
Any of these would be fine for me. F40PH-2CAT (Mainly Amtrak and CSX skins) NS Gallery Cars (Southern Pacific) MP36H-3C (Go Transit, as well as any other commuter rail) Bombardier Bi-Levels (Go Transit, ex-metrolink Caltrain) GP9RM (Various Railroads) MP15DC (Various Railroads)
It is Very unlikely that they would do MOST the American stuff at once, there are people who like other stuff too and I dont think people would be happy if all the first batch is the US Locos
And I have no use for other countries DLC's, so I have no reason to list them Also just cause I listed all North American Products, doesn't mean I WANT to see them all at once, just what I am happy to see if any are done 1st.
Perhaps if you read the FIRST post, it said what locos do you want to see First What do you want to see First out of those locos you listed, and also, as you have no use for other countries locos doesn't mean I don't have no use for them, you are not the only player of the game! Perhaps give 2 locos
Yeah, I would like to SEE ANY OF THOSE 1st. But not all of them at once. This also contradicts your 1st line. Why should I list locos that I have no use for, if the OP listed stuff that I want to see 1st? That also doesn't mean I don't want to see other preserved collection being allowed for the livery editor, its just I don't have a use for them.
Living in the US, I would also like to see the GP9RM (Various Railroads) and MP15DC (Various Railroads)!
I'd love for the Class 37 or Class 20 to come first, just due to all of the liveries you could recreate with the 37, Intercity, Regional Railways, BR Large Logo, BR Green, etc.
If that is true, we will probably find out something about that on the new roadmap and the roadmap stream on Tuesday
ATSF and BN had a lot of SD40-2s and GP38-2s. ATSF also had GP39-2s (GP38-2s with Turbochargers). A BN, BNSF, or ATSF route could be made and players could make their own liveries for the included locos.
Being American, I would like to see mainly the F40PH and the baby bullet dlc, as they have a lot of livery opportunities for the locos.
since the developers said they would release some for all countries at once, I will list one of each: NA: Baby Bullet, like to drive that one and I have seen a ton of interesting liveries that I could recreate GB: I don't know any (and tbf haven't research any), but I trust my british friends here when they say the HST comes in a ton of different liveries, so at least I would give my thumbs up to that one for them! GER: 182 would be an obvious choice, but since a new MRCE version of that one is on the roadmap (and this will be livery designer compatible by default), maybe it would make more sense to do the 185.2, which is used all over europe by all sorts of companies and would also offer tons of livery options.
UK: Class 377 and HST Germany: 182 and Dostos USA: F40PH and Gallery cars (I need them in Amtrak phase 3)
Yep, but as the Class 375 is coming and will have the livery editor enabled day one we don't need the 377 as much now. I just wish they made the 375/6 as that has a pantograph.
Class 337 Electrostar, definitely. I personally want to design a livery which imitates South Western Railway's similar Desiro trains.
