Hey, TrainSim-Adam Just asking for you to get this on your list of To-Do, as you know, consoles got a new control set, but it only works on PresCol services, could you add the new controls to Scenarios of PresCol? It is Painful to use the old scheme now, and there are some scenarios I really want to play, ah, and at the start of GWE timetable, it doesn't have a load unload, it means you have ZERO set up time, maybe sort that out to have a 1 minute load instruction so we can set the services up with AWS ect. AND the Reading side of the 166 has no passanger in it EVER but you see them getting in and out of that coach maybe this is as intended

    Thanks

    Thanks for the note

Switching over to the Immersion Control layout on older DLC is complicated. In some places, the translations and voice recordings mention specific controls that must be used, and that makes changing them very difficult if not impossible. We took the decision that if any gameplay directs to the Classic Control layout, all gameplay for that DLC should be set to the same layout for consistency purposes. Timetable services are treated differently because there are no onscreen instructions that ever mention controls.

Updating Preserved Collection gameplay to use Immersion Controls is not on the road map.

With regard to the lack of initial loading at the start of services on the Great Western Express, this was the first route we introduced passenger operations to the TrainSimWorld franchise. We have since learned (through player feedback) that having an initial load task is a better approach. However, it is not simply a case of adding an X length load task at the start of each service.

If we look at one Class 166 DMU running back and forth along the route all day; adding an initial load task creates a knock-on to the timing of every action in that service, which then impacts every subsequent service that train is due to complete. Now add load tasks at the start of every service that train operates and the knock-on effect to the timetable is exponential. Next, consider how that train moves around the route in relation to all other trains and you have a significant impact. Finally, add an initial load task to all services, and the timetable is entirely destroyed. It would be easier to start again from scratch, and that is not an option.

Updating the GWE timetable with an initial load at the start of each service is not on the road map.

Unfortunately, I do not understand the comment about the 'Reading side of the 166 has no passengers'. Maybe you could clarify further.

    All the best.

Ah, ok. You can recreate like so, run any service on GWE that is heading West, stand up as you start the service and open the cab door, check each coach for passengers and repeat after several stops (to allow it to fill if starting empty) The one closest to the Reading end of the train never has any passengers sat down in the seats, now when loading passengers at any station (take Slough for example) you will see passengers getting in the empty coach, but they still wont spawn in a seat as they enter,
