Chicago area Metra BNSF Racetrack between Chicago Union Station and Aurora, IL featuring the Nippon Sharyo gallery cars, MP36, and F40s, with BNSF freight trains as well.
I’d suggest asking one of DTG’s third party developers which is based on the US to look into this route. BNSF only gives licenses to companies based in the US, and the products must be sold in the US, but perhaps a non-branded version would be sold overseas.
DTG can’t obtain the licence, they even said it on one of the Live Streams, BNSF is NEVER coming to TSW2, even Third Party Developers wont get the Licence.
Well maybe a third party developer could still do an unbranded version of the route. I don’t think that DTG would want an unbranded version though, it’s probably not realistic enough for them.
A Third Party and DTG can’t do BNSF as the Licence wont be given, BNSF will not be coming to TSW2 and there wont be an unbranded version ...END OF!
Wow jeez, umm... I was suggesting an unbranded version, meaning they wouldn’t need a license. No need to argue.
How about a different line from the pre-Metra era like the Chicago & Northwestern or the Milwaukee Road?
That’s not a bad idea actually. I wouldn’t object to a historic American commuter line. I’d suggest creating a new thread about it, and see how much attention it gets.
I'd definitely be on board for some 70's early 80's American route action, that era not really been explored much from what I've seen, both in freight and passenger terms.
