For anyone that hasn’t seen yet, you can dramatically increase the amount of variation on GWE by downloading this mod, which enables the First Great Western livery for both the HST and Class 166. GWE was set in 2016 which this mod, ironically, makes GWE more realistic and set in a specific era, as the default/shipped version made no sense livery wise for 2016. ***PC ONLY*** This mod enables the First Great Western livery on both the 166 and HST. It's a mix and match of both liveries, as seen in the photos and appears on player and AI trains. This transforms the look and feel of GWE. The colour corrections to the FGW HST were done by myself, as it was a very blue looking colour before. Simply place the DLC in the following folder: ...steamapps\common\Train Sim World 2\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC Download from here
Thanks a bunch. Does the FGW class 166 in this mod have the TSW2 HUD or the TSW2020 hud? (I was a screenshot of it having the wrong hud in a different topic, so I just want to make sure.)
Class 166 has the old TSW2020 HUD as the HUD is connected to a specific model. Supposedly FGW HST has been used in some dev build testing, so it received the new HUD, otherwise, they'd both have the old one.
I can see there are two liveries for the HST, but they are all the same GWR ones in game. And no new livery for 166. Did I miss anything? Or did they fix the crack?
Sounds like you've not installed it properly to be honest. There are two GWR HST's (2+7 & 2+8) in the game, if you're not seeing anything else then you'll need to try and install it again.
I put it in the same location as my other mods, like the station announcements, ads, etc. along with other dtg dlcs. I tried to move it out and back in but nothing happened. I really couldn't think of much way to reinstall it...
Sorry if it’s a dumb question, but you’re definitely putting it in the TSW2 DLC folder and not TSW2020, and you’ve definitely unzipped the file first? Just covering bases. Failing that, once installed, try restarting your machine. Beyond that I’m stumped as there is no reason at all why it wouldn’t work.
I only installed TSW2, and most, if not all, of my other mods work well, including some from the same author...I didn't do anything different in the install process from the previous ones. Thanks for your help anyways
A very nice mod. Just like a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get. This really adds to the immersion.
Yes, both are available and can be used in the same scenario. i.e one as player and other as traffic.
Mod is broken now from what I'm guessing is the Rush Hour Update Used to have it working but nada now.
Yes just found out theres a new version and for anyone wondering heres the link to it http://www.trainsim.cz/?mod=article&showid=2489&query=
Ah yes, it's a thing of beauty. FGW is still around to this day on some class 166s (although it's the more plain livery and not the dynamic lines livery), so this also theoretically applies to current day standards. Plus, GWR never actually updated the interior for the 165s and 166s (at least not that I've seen, and I've been on them quite a few times now they run in my local area), so the FGW interior is pretty much accurate regardless of the livery. I used to use the older mod for this (as is likely apparent with my pfp), but glad to see it's now Rush Hour 4.26 compatible, as well as the HST livery have some colour corrections as it was just a tad too blue before.
