I believe that a lot of the track and platforms were altered to allow them to be used as they are closer to BR mainline stock profile unlike the 38 stock which were tube stock profile.
Wouldn’t Rivet need to upgrade/modernize the in-game line to add the 484’s? I could’ve sworn I read somewhere that when they are in the transition phase with bringing in the 484’s, they were going to make it a two track line the whole way or something like that.
Early next year, an extra passing loop is being added at Brading to make a half hourly service possible in preparation for the 484s coming into service. Track is also being lowered through stations as the floor height of the D stock is much higher than the 1938 stock and I think TPWS may be replacing the London Underground tripcock protection system. I'm pretty sure once these modifications have taken place the 483s will no longer be able to run in passenger service and the 484s won't be able to do passenger runs before they have been done.
Ah, seems a bit odd that. I do appreciate the NSE livery, but why not go full out with the authenticness?
D Stock is almost but not quite mainline size - it just fits though the low tunnel. Line closes for 3 months at the start of Jan when it reopens it'll be the D-Stock, so the 38 stock has about 6 weeks left. With Covid I'd not suggest going for a final ride.
DTG don't have a licence from SWR. They could possibly use the Dinosaur livery, or the Retro Tube livery, but I suspect that opens a TfL can of worms.
As the publisher, Dovetail need the license. Rivet doesn't need any licences at all for a thing they publish through DTG.
