Hi All, Is it me or is there are clicking sound that develops in the cab after a while. I can clear it by going to outside camera view and then returning? Or am I just going stir crazy playing this game? Thanks in advance D
Happens on core and preserved routes for me. To me one of the biggest annoyances of the game is unwanted sound artifacts like you mentioned. The issue seems to happen when it is playing the same sound sample for a while. I hear it not only on my train but also with AI trains idling at a station like at San Francisco. Talent 2 (S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland) on the other hand to me sounds like an air conditioning unit at the moment - I avoid using this in Rapid Transit. So there's also the issue of certain parts of the audio mix not working for me. In TSW2020, it works much better and you can actually "feel" the train picking up speed based on the sounds here... not in TSW2. Audio is a complex issue I understand but I think the expectation should be that it is at least on par with TSW2020 for preserved routes. GWE had extra work done (though the sound still has that issue with the clicking/popping/looping) and so I am hopeful more is done in the future to existing content.
In TSW2020 sounds change as you are passing through a tunnel or under a bridge sounding the horn changed depending on your surroundings All that has gone in TSW 2 all sounds are the same wherever you are
I thought I had gone mad! Thank you for your feedback, it seemed to me that the sounds echoed in the tunnels, now on tsw2 everything is worse ...
