One big question not seen in the article: Do people who already bought the previous ones get this one automatically as they did with the Bossman Games, Welsh Marches or do people need to purchase it again?
No if you purchased it already it should already be in your library the only difference is that the trains won't have a licensing logo on them.
That won't be the only difference as: - Asset location is different as otherwise people lose the branding if they own it currently. - Route ID is different as it is a new DLC. Eargerly a waiting an official response from DTG (such as DTG Jamie or DTG Natster) as he community currently can't know for sure until it is released.
It's good to see it back, but one thing the promo screenshots show is that Port Talbot steelworks haven't been improved and still don't have any blast furnaces which are massive iconic structures in real life. Being an ex British Steel man I'm perhaps a bit more sensitive to this than others - not that I went to Port Talbot much, but blast furnaces define the industry and sites without them is like modelling London without the Houses of Parliament or the Shard.
please bring back the north wales please bring back the north wales please bring back the north wales
I want the NWC Extension, I'll be annoyed if I have to purchase it as a whole combined route like the re-release of SWC will be though. Won't stop me buying it, I'll just be annoyed whilst I do it.
Just a friendly reminder for DTG Jamie or DTG Natster that the first question asked is still unanswered
Can confirm that existing owners of South Wales Coastal will be gifted the unbranded version from release.
Hi Jamie, Very excited that this is returning! But there's a bit of confusion about this - or maybe its just me that's confused! There's two elements to the SWC Swansea to Bristol route currently - the Bristol to Cardiff element, and the Cardiff to Swansea extension route. What happens if you have Bristol to Cardiff section only?
Hi Aryffordd, if you just own Bristol to Cardiff you won't be gifted the new unbranded version of the route as they have been combined.
The Bristol to Swansea route was NOT an extension but a completely different route, even though it included the Bristol to Cardiff route entirely, ie you didnt need to own BRI-CDF at all to get he whole of Bristol to Swansea.
Nope, this was before they did extensions, and I believe there's only been two official ones of those, being sheerness and NWC to Holyhead
Ohhh, why didn't I read your post earlier, I must admit I too thought Swansea was an extension, well I'll wait ever hopeful for the Holyhead extension as a standalone purchase as it does seem less likely that they'll merge NWC + HE now.
wait a minute won't re releasing this route break the game? or has it broke the game who ever bought it?
No, it'll be a completely standalone version of the route, so those who have it in the past will get logo-ed and un-logo-ed versions, and any scenarios written for the old version won't be available on the new version unless re-authored Any routes which use the route as a requirement will also need reauthoring
High unlikely, as Dovetail doesn't seem to want to touch anything BNSF related unless a 3rd Party does it
