I was just useing the br class 08 cab(rev)pulling 6 tea tankcars, when my engine hit 25mph a alarm went off below the grade gauge it was a yellow circle after about 5 seconds my train can to a stop then a short time later slowly started to move again but won't go much pass 10mph and short time later stoped again as before and began to slowly move on.Note i did not turn on any saftey systems.
Poor Gronk! What were you trying to do to it? They're only designed for 15mph. P.S. I checked one of my spotting books from 1982. 08s were 15mph max, except SR locos which were 20mph.
It's not the most powerful of machines. I've just run it from Ryde to Shanklin on Isle Of Wight. When I came out of the tunnel I started rolling backwards despite being at full throttle and had to get a run up at a lower throttle to keep going. I also made the mistake of coasting St one point and rolled back down to hill about 3 miles from the end.
