Hello everyone. I am back with a proposal for a Spanish route based on a high mountain train in the Sierra de Madrid called el electrico de Guadarrama that runs through the stations of Cercedilla, where it connects with the Madrid suburban line c8, the intermediate station, from the port of Navacerrada and the last stop, in cotos , at more than 1500 meters of altitude. The train takes 26 min from Cercedilla to Puerto de Navacerrada, and from Cercedilla to Cotos 41 min. The three stations on the line where the trains always stop are "Cercedilla", "Puerto de Navacerrada" and "Cotos", the rest were optional stops, that is, the train only stopped at them if a passenger requested it. ; in 2011 all these intermediate stops were closed. The total length of the line is 18.2 km and saves a difference of 719 m because it goes from 1,100 m in Cercedilla to 1,819 meters in Puerto de Cotos. The average slope is slightly less than 4%. Trains run every hour or every two hours, depending on the day and time. The entire route of the line is in the "zone C2" of Cercanías Madrid, so it belongs to the outermost fare zone of the entire network. As an exception to the general fare system of the Cercanías lines, a single price is established from any area of the Cercanías network with the C-9, of € 8.40 per journey for the single ticket and € 16.80 for the outbound Return. Since the summer of 2011, the line stops serving most of its stations, stopping only at Cercedilla, Puerto de Navecerrada and Los Cotos. As you can see in the images that I am going to show you, it is a Spanish high mountain train, whose greatest influx is in summer since it is when more travelers go on excursions to preserves.
