This would be a great route to introduce the Avelia Liberty train to TS2020. It's too bad this route isn't being made for TSW2. That would be amazing.

I'm sooo hyped up! I can't wait! Too bad it doesn't go all the way to Philly, though. However, unless someone on the Steam Workshop beats DTG do it, DTG might extend the route to Philly.

I'm only 41miles worth of Happy about this...

This makes this less than a 3rd of the length of the section between DC to Philly. I'm a little put off as how we recently just recived a long highspeed route that is the WCML south, and when we finally get something of what was long requested, only get a portion. I'm guessing the attempt is to milk this segment by segment when it comes to American Content. The last Passenger route we received was only partially done, and that is the Hudson.

I am grateful this is happening at all, but slightly more disappointed. I would have waited a little longer if it meant we would get this route to Philadelphia.

I'm guessing he helped with reference, though I could be wrong. One thing I can guarantee though is that if he was involved, it'll be accurate.

Can't ignore the fact that the platforms in the screenshots aren't the right height, the MP36 is an unbranded MP36 from Cal Train, and I see that the amtrak consist still isn't in the right order and the Amfleets look the same as every other amtrak DLC as well as probably the same passenger view too but nitpicking aside I'm still happy to see the route in train sim I just hope that slight changes are made in the future and MARC either branded or unbranded DLC in the future especially the Siemens SC-44 Charger and maybe the Budd MetroLiner, Avelia Liberty or maybe even the Metroliner cab car 8208512241_e61d3dde05_b.jpg DSC_0324-2.JPG DCA-09.jpg

There are already MP36, AEM-7, HHP-8, GP40, etc... reskins for MARC, just take a look round the community. Unfortunate the MP36 isn't specced to at least base-painted to MARC without logos. Luckily MARC uses the NJT Multis.

yeah but like you said it would be nice to have it in the paint scheme even if it doesn't have the MARC name on it just to add to the realism just a bit more plus it would be nice to see the other coaches they use in their fleet with in TS21

Great DLC. Sorry, But this is my personal feelings not that of the community or taking a shot at DTG. I need a full run from New York to Washington DC. 30 minute drive by Acela just does not do it for me. Lately, DTG has been short changing us for money. (ex. WCML Deluxe). That went real well in the community. I'm not falling for it this time. Nope. Not doing it. Sorry. Give me the full line (NYC - WAS) and I'll buy.

You do know there are lots of things that influence that, whilst I would've wanted something similar, it takes a lot of work to create a long route, plus it would step up the price quite a bit. I wouldn't want to pay $80 for a route. There is also the occasional sale (usually 20% off on first week iirc).

It could be that even unbranded MARC equipment could lead to licensing issues, both the Coaster and Tri Rail DLCs dont even match their commuter railroads either...

Wow, that's a lot. You've done some amazing work, and I will definitely try to purchase this route! I am considering starting my own KCS route, so I will definitely be referring to your tutorials.

The NEC route I wished for is finally here when I used to play it in MSTS. Although I expected it to be the length from Philadelphia PA to Washington DC, but it's ok hope we may soon see a extension to Philadelphia or at least Wilmington and then a route from New Haven to Boston
The rolling stock is really awesome too ACS-64 is my favourite and the MP36 is also good but it looks like the one from LA Metrolink needs some more work on paint.
Hope to see the new upcoming Amtrak New Acela aka Avelia Liberty train as a loco addon to this game in the future too good luck guys.

All you had to do is look and read the article. This is just the thread to talk about it. As far as ETA, all depends on how far along they are with finishing it up. With all that is going on now, the timeframes could vary. But it’s not long off.

This looks like a great route. I definitely look forward to running trains on the southern portion of the North East Corridor. Hopefully the Bombardier Multi Levels and MP36PH receive the MARC livery for this route, as they currently appear to be undecorated.

They are being released unbranded due to DTG not having a licensing agreement with MARC.

My initial response wasn't with the intent to ridicule. But if that's how you received it, that's your own responsibility. However, you responded in a way where you felt the need to be on the defensive about it. But, what is frustrating to see, is when people come on forums, asking questions to which the answers are already provided. You came on here, asking for shots, that you could have already seen within the article. Being the fact you had to ask, would give anyone the right to their assumption that you hadn't actually read the article. It's very common nowadays for people to sit asking questions without clicking links. There was nothing to clarify.

Furthermore, out of everything I said in my initial response to your comment, that was the only thing you took out of it...

Yeah I added consists like the Cardinal and Palmetto in the career scenarios. I used the pre-COVID 2020 timetables for both Amtrak and MARC.

Hopefully there will come some scenarios for HHP8 and AEM-7 in the future, but this route is a must-have for all of us playing MSTS...

Do you mean that we are also getting the player-drivable Amtrak P42DC in this route career scenarios or you mean it is AI only in this route because in the description it was mentioned that Acela,ACS-64 and the MP36PH are coming and nothing regarding the P42.

In the future I don't see why not. I'd love to work with DTG again in the future.

Cardinal and Palmetto have ACS-64 north of Washington. Power changes to diesel when heading south of Washington.

When it was announced I hoped it would have gone to Philadelphia
Then you could have done Washington to New Haven over three sections WASH-PHYL-NYC-NH

But it is another short line :(

This route seems to be 60-70kms in length. It looks like it mainly goes through dense urban and suburban areas. It seems that the long routes I have all go through empty countryside.

Canadian Mountain Passes, the French TGV, one of the Chinese high speed routes, some of the German high speed routes... all are 100-500 kms yet the vast majority of the route consists of trees, grass, etc. I don't know of a >100km route in TS which goes through mainly urban/suburban areas. It must be more difficult to create urban areas than empty countryside.

I am excited about this route. I hope it comes with a mix of passenger and freight!
