as written on the forum regarding the landscape of the LGV the line is not really real way too green dovetail must postpone the release date to make the itinerary more real, time for them to remove the trees where there are not in real and to put more small bushes where there must be and to put the hills where there must be. so dovetail please postpone the release date
Really, watch the clips and reviews on the unfinished bug ridden Cyberpunk 2077, it shouldn't have been released for another year. Dovetail arent going to push back a Christmas release because of some misplaced trees, they haven't addressed game breaking bugs yet so moving some trees is decades away
Have you seen the cab video of the real route, there actually are a lot of trees, they just aren't as tall and not as close to the tracks.
Well yes, I didn't say there are no trees irl. DTG made the trees to thick. They put in much more than exist irl.
Each region should have a distinctive look. Notice how the German routes all have a certain look/palette so you know you are in one of those routes. Only exception is Rapid Transit...it feels very vidid and doesn't follow that same style. Since this is the first French route and with auto-generated scenery from external data, it's going to be a bit of an experiment.
Am I reading this right? Postponing a route because of some trees? Postponing should only be happening if there's something game breaking. I wouldn't be happy of a delay so some trees can be changed...
And that aside, the gears have been set into motion probably weeks ago in order to get the release slot for all consoles and pc on the same date. Surely there must be some huge hicup in order to even consider stopping the release one week before planned release. And furthermore, I guarantee that they planned and calculated with the income of this December release for their annual financial statement / expenses for the end of the year. Postponing now means pushing it into next year, which would make alot of numbers look bad, or at least worse. So from a business point of view it would not make sense to postpone now over scenery inaccuracies...
And as DTG have themselves stated many many times its not meant to be a complete 100% recreation of the route and they have used some artistic license, the route is intended as they wanted to create it, so it's something that people are just going to have to accept, it's just the cold harsh truth of the matter.
To be completely clear, we will not be delaying this route because it has too many trees unless the trees interfere with its ability to play.
Suggest that the author of the post doesn’t buy it for a few months to see if some trees get removed if it’s really that important. Until then, I‘m going to buy it and enjoy it (I hope) on Thursday.
DTG won't edit that as it isn't game breaking. Even then, it is released and when a game braking bug is known that could get fixed. But scenery (almost) never gets fixed. As the same with missing/broken catenery on several routes, best thing to do it not let it bother your or buy it at a discount.
Yeah, at the end of the day, any DLC released for TSW, TS, OMSI, Euro Truck, or any other game set in a real place is just an artist's impression of that place. I cannot name a single DLC for TS or TSW that's had a release date announced and then it was delayed.
Umm, did you forget about TSW2? Its release was delayed 2 weeks - from August 6 (the originally announced release date ) to August 20th
I don’t think you needed to highlight the word branch in your post, most of us would have twigged what you were doing.
Very good Sam. That is the right decision. Even you would delay the release to take away ore change some trees the result would be, that the same or other people would say, that the landscape is even not 100 % like in real. And than again there would be people, that would asking for the next postponing of the release. So we could never control the wonderful TGV Duplex, visiting Gar St. Charles in Marseille and so on. Keep up the good work.
Excuse me, what is the ratio between the DLC and the real scene of this route? Compared with reality?
116:123, there you go. Ratio in terms of the number of trees? Size of trees? Number of branches? Hex colour codes? Any ratio involving the number of trees would involve counting real world trees wouldn't it?
That was not really a decision. DTG never postponed any DLC for scenery flaws, despite immersion-breaking.
Immersion means different things to different people. Trees might break immersion for some people, I don't think it will be a problem for me.
It is the right decision. To repeat it again the critics will not end after a renewed scenery. And if it's because of the personal impression of everybody only. Each has an other impression. It would never end and we would never get LGV Mediterranee.
[QUOTE = "DTG Protagonist, post: 219237, member: 18967"] Pour être tout à fait clair, nous ne retarderons pas cet itinéraire car il a trop d'arbres à moins que les arbres interfèrent avec sa capacité à jouer. [/ QUOTE] you really need to do something to remove the trees where there aren't any completely unrealistic your LGV route
Without meant as a shot at DTG, I believe the chances are higher that you will buy the route with the trees than DTG removing trees
[removed by Protagonist - sorry for the inconvenience, however we require all posts to be in English only]
Why do i get the sense that they didn't bother translating or writing in english because there be them things called swear words in their message.......
