Dear Community. As you know the DB BR 101 is in production for TSW2 and it will pull and push IC trains most likely. And that's why I think it would be nice if the Taurus could do that too. Sure in real the use of the Taurus is very rare, but some Tauri did IC services in real. Also the topspeed of 230 kph makes the Taurus very able for IC services.
This is where I'd support DTG making something sligthly unrealistic. Like they did with thr 182 substitution on freight trains, they should make it very rare on AI services but we can drive it anytime we want.
Yes absolutely!! Would be able to reach the maximum permitted speed on HMA with the mighty speedy Taurus!! Shouldn't be too challenging or costly to enable the Rapid Transit 182 (hopefully with LZB functionality) to substitute for the 101 if HMA gets IC layers.
I also hope that the substitution is allowed. The 182 is my favourite loco, and it's a shame that it's so limited in operation.
You will be surprised. There was a time, when Deutsche Bahn planned to transfer all 101 to DB Cargo. They thought they could do all passenger long range travel with EMU's. If they realized that this is not possible, the 101 kept their IC services And I give you right. It would be nice if the 101 could do freight services in TSW2 too.
I think if something like that isn't added, a consist creator giving you the ability to put together whatever train formation you like would be excellent for situations like these.
I completely agree as well, one thing I hate is the fact that loco consists are so fixed and binary, especially if it is a consist seen in real life.
They found out that the 101s were not built to haul freight at all as one or two of them ended up with their frames starting to bend.
I completly agree to use the 182 to sub for the 101 locos. I have just driven a custom scenario from the creators club, where i presume a pc player have linked the loco to the ic wagons. it would be so nice to be able to use the 182 for the intercity services in timetable mode, since its so nice to drive in. also would be awesome to go full speed with it as also the 101 on the new route in TSW3!

Here's the Taurus locomotive at Aachen Hbf my comment in the video had a Slovenian Railfan saying if the Taurus 182 1116 broke down in Aachen the DB BR101 has to run the sleeper train trips. Besides the Sleeper Train 182 1116 does freight on Koln Aachen seen here
