If this will ever be done, it will take a lot of time and effort, as the Metropolitan Line is almost three times as long as the Bakerloo Line, with three branches and a very complex timetable
Good enough in TS2020 imo. Lets have routes that are not duplicated in TSW2, there are plenty of TS2020 routes coming according to the Road map!
What is it with people and wanting to drive in tunnels? I don't get you. I'm not trolling, I'm seriously asking. I mean, we got Bakerloo now, LIRR and (was it) Rapid Transit (?) got underground sections, do we really need more (of the same?)
I agree CCJ. Plenty of underground routes in other software programs, the best being the World of Subways. Buy all the volumes and enjoy, people!!!
May I ask if TSW is a successor of TS or not? If yes then they could be porting over older routes all the time. And if not then what will they do with TS cause it's ehm retro? And what is TSW then for?
TSW (and 2) are successors maybe in a thematic and spiritual sense. But technically, they're completely new games on a new engine built from scratch. Differences besides tons of technical changes and improvements that you can't see include, but are not limited to: Way better graphics, it is much more detailed, therefore shorter routes as to not increase development time and price, the ability to walk around and/or drive around as a passenger, and built upon that, service/timetable mod, that lets you leave on train you're driving and get onto another and drive that. Porting older (TS) routes is not viable, everything has to be build anew. TS, afaik, will continue to be supported and receive new updates and dlc. (TSW1/2020 will not, here most dlc will be converted to TSW2 over time - for free (if you already own them for 1, that is))
If they did the Chiltern Line between Marylebone and Aylesbury then the Met Line to Amersham, which uses the same lines from Harrow, could be included. This would give the Chiltern Class 165 as well as Met Stock mentioned. In addition, LU have run heritage trains on this section, including Steam On The Met and trains hauled by the electric loco Sarah Siddons and an LU liveried Class 20.
The Metropolitan line is mostly aboveground though. I think this route with the S8 stock would be a great idea
Just Trains brought it out for TS Classic within the last few months - DTG are unlikely to replicate it this soon after release. It would be bad form to stomp on one of the 3rd Party partners. Would JT consider a TSW conversion in the future - it's possible - though they have a few TS Classic projects on the go.
