So months after their launch, you still can't buy a GTX3080 unless you pay an Ebay scalper £1000 for it. I've abandoned all my plans to build a new PC. I shall buy a used GTX1080 for my current rig as an interim measure, as that is the fastest GPU that my ten year old Sandybridge i7 CPU (and PCI-E v2.0) will not bottleneck. The world is going mad... who pays £1000+ for a £599 graphics card?
Sadly some are will to do so, that is why these scalpers persist. I was able to upgrade to a 3070 but only because I bought a new desktop and it was bundled into the unit.
I've never bought a pre-built PC in my life, and I'm not starting now. Plus, I enjoy the building of them too. The GTX1080 will tide me over until sanity returns to the market I'm happy that you have yours all sorted though.
If it is any consolation Pookeyhead, I have upgraded from a GTX 1080 to a GTX 2070 Super. and neither TS2021 or TSW 2 has shown any improvement.
Same here Sharon, built 2 computers and thought I'd have it done professionally this time, managed to get an RTX 3080 OC stuffed into it! Very nice it is too.
