The District line is the second Underground one made and it goes from Ealing Broadway in West London to Upminster there is also the Richmond,Edgware Road, Wimbledon and Kensington Olympia branches. If dovetail were to make this I think they would do it till Tower Hill or all the way to Upminster. This will be set in early 2016 when there were D78 stock trains were on the route.S stock trains used the Edgware Road services
Here is a D78 stock train

    Terminus on the District line:
    Ealing Broadway
    Tower Hill
    Earl’s Court
    Richmond
    Edgware Road
    Kensington Olympia
    Upminster
    Depots:
    Upminster
    Ealing Common
    Hammersmith

The route has interchange with other underground lines,Overground lines, DLR and trams
    And National rail
Piccadilly lines 1973 stock joins the route from Ealing Common to Gloucester Road before separating tracks
Hammersmith and city line joins the route between Aldgate East and Barking
And the circle line between Gloucester Road and Tower Hill.

Not a terrible suggestion. Although for me personally I'd go for a time period that has both the D Stock and C Stock on the Edgware Road to Wimbledon operating and save the S Stock for a potentially Metropolitan Line.

I don’t know if you mean just to put The Wimbledon to Edgware Road line
But if you do d stocks don’t go to Edgware Road since they are too long and don’t have selective doors

No I don't. I meant just have the entire line (or a good chunk of it), D Stock on the Mainline, C Stock on the Edgware Road to Wimbledon route :)

    Ah ok
This could be in the 1990’s cause dovetail are slowly put routes in newer times so if dovetail consider this it could be put into the 1990’s

Another vote for the District line. I would do the western part. Ealing Broadway to Tower Hill, plus the Richmond, Wimbledon, Olympia and Edgware Rd branches. The whole thing would obviously be nice, but it's a huge line and I'm not that familiar with the Upminster part and I get the feeling it's not so interesting, so I would be happy if it stopped at Tower Hill if that meant it was a viable route. I've got the freeware version of this for TS2021 and it's probably one of the most interesting routes I've ever driven. There's so much to see and there's a lot of stations so there's a lot to do as a driver. Also, the D-stock is a really nice train to drive. Very simple. Zips along (or at least it feels like it's going fast, even if it isn't!). I would happily have the D-Stock AND S-stock, but if I could only have one, it would be the D-Stock. I may be slightly biased, but I used to ride the District line from Richmond to Mansion House every day on the D-Stock and despite being painfully slow as a passenger, it was definitely one of the most interesting lines to be on.

With the Bakerloo line set in 2020 modern day, I don't see dtg setting the district line to 2017 when the d stocks were still running before retirement. With the next underground line expected to be the Piccadilly line with a timetable set in the year when it comes out (2021-2022 or beyond) it wouldn't make sense for dtg to make the district line in 2016 or prior just so people can use a train that no longer runs on the Underground network. If any subsurface line is made it will most certainly be set in where we can only use the S Stock trains which is what I prefer and which wouldn't be a surprise. For people that don't like ato, you can turn it off and subsurface train drivers are even encouraged to turn ato off in real life

That is something that probably won't happen for any underground route. (Read my first post above this one in this thread to see why I believe that is the case)

That would be very nice ! A sub surface route would be very cool. Especially the District with the D Stock, so we can see some SWR or TfW liveries incoming ^^

Lovely route. Personally not a route I would want added, because prefer mainline running. That's just my opinion though.

Try the freeware Virtual District Line in TS. You might be swayed. It's the most fun I've had on any TS route I think!

The size difference between the Subsurface and deep level trains is amazing
