Hey all! I would like to share an idea. This loco is a special one. The Vectron is a locomotive series made by Siemens Mobility, introduced at the 2010 InnoTrans trade fair in four prototype versions: diesel, multi-system, and both AC and DC electric power. The diesel version has been replaced in 2018 by a dual mode locomotive which is powered by electricity on electrified sections of the track and can be switched to diesel mode on non-electrified sections. The Vectron series is reconfigurable and modular, with a Bo'Bo' wheel arrangement, and is intended as the successor to the EuroSprinter family of locomotives. A more affordable, basic version called Smartron was introduced in 2018. In my opinion this loco would be ideal for freight services mostly, and here you can find some pictures about them: I hope this idea can be accomplished in the near future!=)
It would be a nice content update , as those locomotives runs a bit everywhere in germany , so i also really hope to see this locomotive one day in TSW2.
I'd really like to see the Vectron too. It would not only add gameplay for German routes, but also for future routes from other European countries. I'd like to see it on Osnabrück - Hengelo or Enschede - Amersfoort CS, two of the routes I've suggested. The ČD Vectron could also run on Dresden-Neustadt - Děčín. As you can see from the amount of suggestions I've made on which it could be seen, the Vectron truly is a loco that can be seen everywhere in Europe. The first Vectron DLC could also serve as a base model for other liveries and versions of the Vectron.
Even the ÖBB has them in the form of Rh 1293. To put them in game RRO Rangierbahnof Hagen SKA Aachen Rothe Erde & HMA Rbf München Laim will have ÖBB 1293 Siemens Vectron if Dovetail games decided to add ÖBB freight trains on German routes.
There is also the Smartron which is common in Eastern Europe - that's a off the shelf 'Vectron' with minimal customisation for those wanting a low cost loco - they only come in Blue
I would absolutely love to see this loco in tsw 2,I drive its older brother the HLE18 (ES64U4-H) in belgium and it's a true joy, it'd be great to have a go with the newer model in the sim
Well said and have you used the HLE18 to operate the Brussels to Aachen ÖBB sleeper train. Since at Aachen Hbf your 3kv DC 25kv 50hz & 1.5kv DC HLE18 is swap out for a re-skinned DB BR182 the ÖBB1116 to pull the Night Train all the way to Vienna from Aachen via Augsburg Hbf the In game HMA & SKA routes.
I only use the 18 for national routes,my depot is antwerp so the main routes i drive it on are Essen(Belgian Essen, not German Essen)-Charleroi via Antwerp and Bruxelles and the other route is Antwerp-Oostende.
