Just a sneak peek of my work in progress, Miami - West Palm Beach route expansion. All being well, expect this route to be finished in a few months time. Points win prizes if anyone can guess what recently built facility is in the last two screenshots....
I wouldn't have been worried if you did. After all, this is a guessing game, and it's all about the fun in bouncing ideas around, isn't it?
Todays update. A LOT of track laid. There are now 3 connections to Florida East Coast railroad added to the mainline route. Here is a teaser of some scenery progress.
The image of the Brightline shops is great! The Florida East Coast Railway Society visited these facilities while they were testing the trains, before they were open to the public. The Brightline management team attended our convention that year, and gave us a full presentation on their future plans. Their team was spread out across many banquet tables so that everyone could share information about the Florida East Coast Railway and the Brightline over dinner. There are some great folks working at Brightline. The Orlando leg is well under construction, and will be ready to go into operation soon. After that, it will be time to expand further west to Tampa. The Brightline shops and the West Palm Beach station is right down the street from my work. Maybe I'll do a drive-by during lunch today. Richard
Sadly not, I deleted it by accident and have been unable to recover it. Maybe some day, if I can find the Florida track schematics again, I'll start afresh.
