So while the Peninsula Corridor itself is a decent route, the location itself can be expanded on for both Passenger and Freight Operations.

    1. Expand South to Tambien Station, possibly Gilroy and beyond

So while the current southern Terminus is San Jose, Every other Caltrain trains actually start and end their service at Tamien Station just south of San Jose Diridon, which would be a perfect place to extend the route too. Also the extension can also extend down to Gilroy Station, adding the stops at Capitol, Blossom Hill, Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy, with the 3 morning and the 3 afternoon services (Pre Pandemic levels).

ACE also store their trains just south of the Tamien Station (If they are ever included in a future route)

If the route were to extend farther, it could go as far as Watsonville, where UP maintains a small yard. Also Graniterock owns a large quarry between Watsonville and Gilroy, with connections to the Union Pacific there. (I believe this is where most of the rock trains originate from based on satellite images). The Hollister Branch line and locals to and from Watsonville can be added as well.

    2. Redwood City Port

Another part that can be added is the Redwood City port Industries, Union Pacific does switching duties in the area, which includes some close and street running thru town.

    3. Permanente Local

So this request might be a little bit of a stretch, but the Permemate Local to Lehigh Cement could be added. It runs on a 16 mile branchline that starts just south of San Jose Diridon and runs around 1st paralleling the VTA tram line to Winchester. It runs south till HWY 85 before turning West to the Cement Plant west of Cupertino. A bike trail parallels the track around Cupertino.

As long as DTG extends this US route, it must be purchased at the time of sale. I think the scenery of the Capitol is really beautiful.

Would love to see this, especially the street running portion, do want to have routes with local delivery type freight work. Really feel like Oakville missed the mark by not including some along side the tank car work.

I hope they at least extend to tamien. They use that station frequently throughout the day

I hardly doubt they would extend the route to Gilroy of Tambien considering how only a couple commuter trains use it. The freight branches I could maybe see though.

    A UP GP22T4 (rebuilt GP38-2), GP40-2, and/or GP60/GP62 rebuild should be included to handle the local freights. A C45ACCTE (ES44AC), C45AH (ET44AC), SD60M, SD70M, SD70AH-T4, or SD59MX (rebuilt SD60/SD60M) could be great to see pulling heavy freights.
