For me my musical choice is symphonic metal cranked up to 11, it's bombastic heavy and intense so keeps your mind sharp and alert.

It would destroy the illusion of driving a train, so, no music in the cab thanks.

I generally listen to anything but to name a few favourites I enjoy The Beatles, Oasis, The Smiths, Billie Eilish, Gorillaz, St. Vincent, AURORA.

Sometimes I’ll stick an album on if I’m doing a long haul on the Sand Patch Grade. Don’t really do it on other routes, I can’t imagine working PZB while listening to music going down too well! ;)

It depends on a railway and company. Just like some (most) airline pilots are watching movies while in flight or listen to music or nap.

I normally have classical music on the background all day (classical may range from medieval tot 21st century). But I also like music that is called world music, but may range from Arab, to all kinds of music from Africa and Iris folk songs .as long as it is interesting.

Same here. I usually have an audiobook or a podcast on in the background. Or a Cardinals game while in season

I thought I’d recreate my original post on this thread to be better, here’s a list of some the songs on my playlist, theirs 144 or more so I won’t list them all. (No particular order)

Pitbull - I know you want me
Modern Talking - Brother Louie/Cheri Cheri Lady
    Blue - Fly By II
Ellie Goulding - Like a Saviour
IllKay Sencan & Dynoro - Rockstar
    Micheal Sambelo - Maniac
    Lorde - Team
Don Henley - Boys of Summer
    E-Type - Princess of Egypt

their are many others but theirs a short list of some. I would say I don’t have a particular type, and if I like it that’s why it’s on the list.
