I've just made my first purchase from Just Trains directly, but since you have to activate the product on installation, I am not exactly clear if you can have it activated on two PCs simultaneously.

The FAQ just seems to refer to reactivation on changing computer.

Can anyone give me the benefit of their experience? TIA...

    ETA:

Found on another FAQ that you can't install on more than one PC at a time:

    https://www.justtrains.net/store/terms.html

So no incentive to buy from them now I can't install on both my laptop and PC, like with Steam and AP.

    That EULA is very restrictive.
In many cases you can install the software on more than one PC BUT only if you run it on one PC at a time.
It might be worth asking a consumer law expert in your country to see if that is not too restrictive.

Thanks for the replies. My laptop is almost full anyway, so no real problem just to run on my main PC.

Nothing to stop you copying what is required from one PC to another once you work out what is required
[1] Route & [2] Assets - it will work or it won't but no harm in trying

Except a few licensing agreements and copyright laws...
    Other than that

I don’t see why you cannot install on another PC. I bought a new laptop went to JTs website, signed into my account and downloaded my routes again. No problems.

Nothing to stop you bar it being against their licensing terms which you agreed to. Nothing at all (bar that)

How can it be a violation of Copyright if it is something you own?
You are not distributing it to someone else and it is sold for you own personal use.

You don't own it, you own a license to use it on one computer.

I'd suggest that JT aren't too bothered about this, as they've put most of their catalogue on Steam which permits multiple installs in a household.
