I just spent a good 50 euros on new DLC for TSW, and picked up amongst others RRO to play on TSW2. Jumped into the 422 to do the S-bahn. When I try to set the FIS to S8 (Like the most important run of the route) I can't even select it as an option. WTF. How is this a thing. DTG Plz fix.
There are destinations for the S8: - Dessau Hbf - Halle(Salle) Hbf - Magdeburg Hbf - Hagen Hbf - Mönchengladbach Perhaps it could be that it's spawned the Haupstreke Rhine Ruhr 422 which may not have S8 destinations? That's all I can think of and can't test it because I don't have HRR.
There's a bug with the BR 422, where instead of the RRO version spawning with the correct destinations, you get the HRR version, hence wrong destination options. It's due to be fixed but until then, it's pot luck as to whether you get the right one or not.
For now, the same clumsy workaround as the GWE fueling issue: relaunch the scenario until you get the "right" version of the train.
There's also the 422 issue where the screen where you set the destination in rro would be white so you cant set the destinations since you can't see screen 1. It's a bug that has yet to be resolved. Not to mention the passenger lights on the 422 are darker than they were in tsw2020
I think that's because the text on the screen doesn't change to black when you click the contrast button, so it appears invisible.
This bug seems to be in more than one loco unfortunately since the upgrade to TSW2. There are posts in the technical reports section regarding this.
I don't click the contrast button at all. Sometimes I'll do a return journey from Hagen in rro and screen 1 is white and the letters are gone. This is a bug with the train itself
I tested it and I am unable to select any S8 destinations for the lead unit (Zug 1). For the trailing unit (Zug 2) however, the 5x S8 destinations are able to be selected. If I choose both units (ZUG Verb), the S8 locations are missing because Zug 1 cannot display them. Its definately a bug at least for the PC version. I can see in your screenshot you have the S8 locations selected using ZUG Verb as they are both highlighted...but I cannot do this at all for some reason.
All I can think of is Zug1 is a HRR unit and Zug2 is a RRO unit, even though that makes no sense. It's interesting that people are having these problems and I'm not.
The issue is that the front coach of the unit is from HRR and the rest from RRO. You could either uninstall HRR or spawn on foot to solve that. Also, the HRR 422 and the RRO 422 have two different destination systems (HRR has font-based, RRO has texture-based), so that might be another cause.
This is a issue that happens on the DB BR 425 and the 422 as well at times where there is a white screen when I take over a service on foot in hrr and for the 422 in rro. Clearly this was not rigorously tested enough otherwise they wouldve noticed it and it would have been resolved prior to release
It probably fell victim of their preserved collection test that just saw if it worked and overlooked everything else - IIRC there was a lot of community pressure to get preserved collection stuff out asap.
That was probably the case but if we get another thing similar to this for tsw3 or tsw4, we can't get preserved collection routes ported to those games in a buggy mess. That would be unacceptable
Yeah but at least you get loads of free content (that you paid for years ago) at launch so it's alright.... isn't it.... ?
Yeh but it's not ok when I can't play the LIRR because the sound issues are so bad on the m3/m7 to the point where it makes me and some others not want to play the route until it's fixed. That's not right for the customers who payed for products that still have problems
