Having been away from SPG for a while, I finally got around to the "Slippy (sic) Descent" scenario and it turned out to be a major disappointment. The dire warnings about adhesion problems, tricky brake usage and runaway trains turned out to be without substance and the journey was a bit tedious to be honest. No more challenging than any of the other services going down the mountain. We (I) need scenarios with some meat to them, maybe with some truly bad weather or some random events that keep us on our toes. Are there any on any of the routes? I like SPG but it's running out of steam for me. Clinchfield? Bring it on!

I think the thing with Slippy Descent is that if you know how to drive the train properly you won’t get any slipping or sliding. I’ve not tried driving it badly to see what happens but I didn’t have a single issue driving the scenario either.
