Scenic operations aplenty with Just Trains’ detailed Cornish Main Line route for Train Simulator! Read More
What has changed from the previous version, Branding removed? So who bought i, need to buy it again if there are scenarios for this version or has the content folder the same routeID? The previous branded/unbranded release, who owned the brandes one got the unbranded for free.
I am also curious in What Changed? Was it a branding issue or was it Just trains upgrading the route, and like pervious content that was removed due to branding issues. When brought back as unbranded those who owned the branded version got a free download of the unbranded version. If it was Just Trains upgrading the route why was there no download to the content owned. DTG Jamie can you look into this find out what happened.
I don’t get this. I already have Cornish Mainline and have had for some time. What’s new with this release? Tarted up graphics? Oh, and by the way, as it’s a JT route, you need to buy more trains to run anything? The screenshot is out of date anyway showing FGW livery, so it can’t be a branding issue. I’ve just looked at the JT website and the route doesn’t look any different to the one I already have so I think I’ll stick with that. To paraphrase the guy in Poldark, T’aint right. T’aint fair. T’aint just (trains).
As you can see at the bottom of my post I asked Jamie to look into it, hoping he would of responded today but it looks like it will Monday now.
In October was a last sale for CrossCountry products (https://www.facebook.com/railsimulator/photos/a.378783058090/10157522960973091). So I think this is now without CrossCountry logos.
This should be the same scenario as with South Wales Coastal which was pulled due to licensing and re-released unbranded. Those of us who owned the original were able to keep it plus receive a copy of the unbranded. The re-release is exactly the same route asides from the branding.
I own a copy of the original version, and when this new one was released no download of the newest version. I do not think anyone received a free download of the latest version.
The JT product page shows X Country trains. Jamie’s original post and the news page imply that this is something new.
The only difference between this one and the previous version is the debranding of the Cross Country HST Class 43, hope this helps.
How come in this case the people who owned the original version did not receive a copy of the unbranded version like we have with other routes.
For compatibility with Workshop scenarios. Scenarios created for the route that was originally released will not run on the re-released version unless the scenario developer re-creates the scenario... then it won't work for the original version. I heard this in another thread.
