Does anyone think DTG could possibly do a London to Brighton DLC? Or possibly Brighton to Peterborough? I know it would be a long shot with PS4/Xbox One but could easily run on the new next gen.

I kind of feel this simulator is definitely missing out on the Class 700 Thameslink. I'm surprised they haven't released it yet unless it's down to copyright.

London to Brighton is in the top 3 routes for me. Especially if they include Keymer Junction to Lewes because then it would complete the triangle with ECW. There is so much potential for this route too, especially considering that it contains 4 of GTRs main Depots, it includes a vast variety of 4 units of GTR Fleet, Freight services, RHTT services and driver training wit Class 73s, and then there is the odd railtour which would be a nice addition to the services. Furthermore, the services of Southern, Thameslink, Gatwick Express and freight services could also be added with Great Western services from Gatwick Airport to Redhill. As I said, so much potential for a route of only 50miles (more including depots, and Keymer Junction to Lewes)

I would love to explore these routes! Your correct they could definitely expand the current East Coastway DLC too!

Thameslink would be great. But it would destroy consoles while in London.

London to Brighton is probably possible though.

Haha yeah it really would!! I would probably only suggest that if it was made, think the route for Thameslinks should only go from Brighton to Norwood Junction; it would mean that you can still drive Thameslinks, but it is mainly focused on Brighton to Victoria.

Would be nice but please, not Class 700's. Take it back to the 70's with CIG's, BIG's, VEP's and EPB's.
If Victoria to Brighton was too much then start the route at East Croydon (perhaps).

Oh that is a very good idea! Class 33s on Aggregate trains, Class 47s on Interregional services, and so much more!

They have done London to Bright before on Train Simulator which was nice, but an updated route on Train Sim world would be awesome! I mean, they are doing it with HS1 so I can't see why they won't for London to Brighton. A bit difficult at the moment in the world we live in, but something I can see them doing

Yeah, I think they are going back and redoing routes they've already done in TSxx. I think that is a good idea because they already have all of the licensing and reference for the route, and it expands the catalog of TSW 2 routes quicker.

I only wish that the rest of the Third Party devs like JustTrains can come over and work on TSW 2. I'd love to see the Metropolitan Line in the game.

This is my top route choice. If London to Faversham is on the roadmap. London to Brighton should follow soon after. I think we should have London to Brighton set in 2019 with Gatwick Airport Platform 7, Battersea Park Platform 1 closed and Redhill Platform 0. The route should run from London Victoria to Brighton. This would be my number 1 choice of route. Please make it happen DTG. You already have the class 377 just the class 455 or class 700 would make this better.

London to Brighton would be by far the longest route so far if made, yes/no? They already made it for OGTS, so documentation should not be a problem. Corona times and all. Also, this would be a very popular route and sell well, for sure. Even I would enjoy it, and I'm not all that into passenger services in the first place. I remember giving it a try as per recommendation from a Youtuber and dear friend of mine, PTGRail, and it turned out to be great fun, especially with the BR Class 442. They already have the Brighton station made, so that should save them some time making it too.

Depends if they add Lewes to Keymer Junction... it would probably top out at 60 miles... not sure what the longest route is but I pray that if it’s added, that Lewes to Keymer Junction is added; it would create the Triangle connecting it to ECW, and allow the 1F** services to operate to Lewes :)

It's not about length, it's about time required to model the route. You cannot compared South Eastern High Speed to London to Brighton.

SEHS has a sizable tunnel which frees up resources with around 15 or so (mostly small) stations to model.

London to Brighton has a ridiculous amount of stations to model, along with the massive and complex junctions at London Victoria and Clapham Junction.

I'd probably bet it being from Brighton to East Croydon.

It would be way cooler set int the past because having another route with class 377s would be a bit dull in my opinion. With some slam door trains and 33s or 73s it would be awesome!!!

Brighton to Portsmouth would be great! Especially with the Class 700 but I'm sure we'll have to wait until next gen release due to the size of the map.

The last services on the South Central was in 2003? I was a really small baby when they removed them from service in the south east, and I have been told that I travelled on one to Victoria from Lewes as a baby, although I’m not really counting that as really having travelled on them haha
Maybe it might have been 2005, but even then, I wouldn’t be able to remember them haha

With the new multi-timetables feature coming later in 2021, with the BR 1980's liveries on the GWML, you might just seem them do this on other routes and have them run older stock and new timetables!

I would definitely be up for that!! The only problem would be some of the upgrades that are currently on the line like Gatwick Airport Platform 7 and Redhill Platform 0...

The last slam door services were in 2005 because I remember travelling on what would be my final journey on one back in 05 from Portsmouth to Brighton.

They should set it around 2016
    With southern 377s 455s 171s
    Thameslink 377s and 319s
    Gatwick express 442s
And the introduction of the 387s on both Gatwick express and Thameslink
Mabey they could do London Victoria to Gatwick airport
Southern and Gatwick express services would be able to do a full run to Gatwick
While the Thameslink services could be Gatwick to east Croydon

That would be nice, can’t remember if Redhill had Platform 0 by then... but Platform 7 was definitely open.
The class 442s would be greatly welcomed to TSW2!

The Class 171 is desperately needed for ECW from Eastbourne to Ashford International (with southeastern coming out).

171's had already finished running on ECW by the era ECW is set in TSW.

I'm sorry? The time in which the addon was set looking at the timetable reflects the period in which Class 171's were still in operation from Eastbourne to Ashford International; it is only in the past month, maybe 3 months that the bi-mode Class 377's have been in official service on that line. The ECW addon came out a year or so ago.

I'd like to see a Modern Day London - Brighton Route.

I recently made a suggestion video explaining what would be along the route in a modern-day rendition of it and where it would terminate.

I said it would include the Class 377, Class 700/1, Class 387/2, and possibly the Class 313's. The route would connect to East Coastway at Brighton and Lewes, adding to the East Coastway timetable, and essentially providing the new route as a route extension to players who currently own ECW.

The sheer amount of services and variety of rolling stock would make this route very interesting.

Class 166 also operates(ed) the North Downs Line from Reading to Redhill and Gatwick and possibly even Brighton.

Yeah, I noticed that when I was doing my research on the route, but then I thought "Who'd want to operate a Class 166 for only 1-2 stops?"

Yeah there are definitely quite a few different trains that could be used as DLCs. Considering that GTR has 8 different Unit Varieties, and about 5 run on the Brighton Mainline, I would suggest this to be a great idea for the route. Also GWRs Class 166 services from Gatwick to Reading via Redhill. Not to mention other specials and freight paths including Class 59s, Class 66s, Class 73/1s and Class 73/9s... would be a great route.

Perhaps you are right. The GWR services only run from Redhill to Gatwick and Brighton on the West Coastway route.

I like the modern stuff, but also like the older stuff too. Maybe if they brought this out, have the modern to start with, then add a 80s BR Blue pack like they are doing with the GWE :)

Majority won't, but DTG can make a BR 70/80's pack for the route with new locos and a new timetable. Like GWR.

London to Brighton, what can I say... All the possible DLCs, this would be a lucrative route DTG! As mentioned... 3 different possible DLC EMU's (387,455,700) what is not to like!
