The East suffolk lines (Ipswich to lowestoft) a mix of rural towns open fields and rolling hills. As well as a bustling town at each end. True the speed limit may only be 55mph on most of it but for a easy regional rail experince its pretty good. In terms of stock you could have either 156 170 or a 153 and if you were to include the Sizewell nuclear branch either a class 37 or 20. On the journey some high points are the massive East suffolk junction for freight trains heading to Felixstowe, Woodbridge Station running alongside the marina, Saxmundham a station with a brick arch bridge at each end, Beccles where there is now a passing loop to allow hourly trains and the seaside town of lowestoft.
YES!!!! We need east Suffolk lines! (Ipswich to Lowestoft and Felixstowe) Also don’t forget the class 755 and 66!
Nah too modern with one you wouldn't have to worry about licensing plus you would only have a 66 if you had the Felixstowe branch
I did say this wouldn't include Felixstowe branch just Ipswich to lowestoft maybe u could use between Westerfield and Ipswich but that is like 4 miles
Tallboy, if u were to add up the esl and Felixstowe branch lines together then you would have 60 miles. That is in tsw limits- as seen with feversham high speed and the french tgv route
