It actually goes from Manchester Oxford Rd around to Manchester Victoria first before continuing onto York via Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Leeds. Always great though to travel through the Manchester area by train though and seeing how the city has crept in closer to the railway. What a nice day this was too to take a trip that was being filmed
I agree really would love the modern day version and the 185 68/MK5a to go with Also I just watched that last night, then played some NTP.
This will be good and if you're wondering the Class 802 can be introduced to present-day Northern transpennine via Huddersfield. Then reskin to GWR Paint for GWE although a tutorial is needed to show where the overhead wires end then diesel mode from electric.
According to Wikipedia, out of the 996 Class 08s built there's 100 of them still knocking about in regular service
I volunteer at a heritage railway who’s class 08 was recently hired out to a major company to work on their yard, as we have a working remote control class 08 (there’s really not many of them).
Having travelled on the NTP route in the early 2000s, it's nice to see it running now with more modern stock. I like watching Don Coffey's videos because he gives facts about the routes, where infrastructure has been altered or removed and also talks about driving correctly. I liked his turn out video which explains how trains are turned out safely at junctions using speed control signals and various aspect signals. I recently watched his route diversion videos between York and Manchester. Route learning is so complex, especially when you have to know multiple routes. I also watched that video as it passes close by me on the Calder Valley Line. His videos are also good because he doesn't add music over them and you can hear every move that the driver makes (power, brakes, AWS and DVD acknowledgements).
