DTG, why oh why do you have the 422 on the SKA route knowing full well it does not run on the route in real life. The 423 from HMA can be added in just as easy as the 422 from RRO.
The 423 on HMA is not ecactly the same version as in SKA. I think the 423 SKA are unmodernized. Also the skin is a little different. So just copy paste would not satisfy many.
That's the part I don't get. The wrong 423 would still be more appropriate than the ""right"" 422... and if it a substitution you can use both the 422 AND the 423, so even if you hate it you would have to deal with a ~50% chance of seeing the wrong 423 coming on the other track
I think that they want to add the br423 with the right sound and right skin to SKA, I only hope that it will than be free because I bought the route HMA and it wouldn't make any sense if I have to Buy it again just for SKA
The 422 was used because that was the train they had available when SKA was made. The 423 was made later. That’s why oh why.
But on RSN now you have the 146.2 and the 185.5 eubbed in on the loco move consists even though vtheyvwerr made well after RSN. The point on what was available at the time does not hold of they can change and add at will.
The point very much stands. Your question was why the 422 was used on the route. The answer is that it was the train they had at the time. They are not going to swap it out for another train now. They might make it so the 423 can also be used for the same services at some point but it doesn’t alter the fact that it hadn’t been made at the time they made the route. A reason why they haven’t added it through the substitution system yet is that it could add too many different distinct vehicles to the route at once which would harm the performance or cause crashes, like the layers in HMA did on consoles. They really can’t just add trains at will (and they don’t take any trains away from routes once they are there), and the possibility of a 423 and a 422 both being spawned in game at the same time as an ICE and a regional express train could tip the game over the edge.
Personnally I'd like to see it done like with the M3 services on LIRR, where both train types runs the same services. Actually I went on the real Köln Aachen route back in December and I went to Düren to see a 423. They make the same sound as the HMA variant (there are two types of 423 in real life), but have an interior similar to the 422.
The 423 on SKA is the sole reason I bought the expansion pack, and the only piece of content I have interacted with, and I couldn't be happier.
If you pick up the Expansion pack the BR423 comes with it with and new timetable with it and more services to use
