You can submit your screenshot to the thread, and every Friday we will choose which screenshots will go to the loading screens. Shortly after, we will open a new thread and announce the winners. Each week has its own theme which is voted for by the community. Competition Rules: Limit is 2 screenshots per person; 1 screenshot per post. Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on as well as the name of the train (if applicable). Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels. It's June of 1958. Having embarrassingly suffered a mechanical problem, a set of Baldwin Centipedes have to be towed up and over Horseshoe Curve by a K4. Unfortunately for the steamer, it would be diesel locomotives getting the last laugh as this would be the locomotive's last run in revenue service. The 4-6-2 would be retired just a month after this photo was taken and was sadly cut up by the end of the year. Route Used: Horseshoe Curve Locomotive Used: PRR K4, PRR Baldwin Centipede
A five-engine Pacific Fruit Express head north out of San Bernardino with two Southern Pacific GS-4s, a Union Pacific ALCo 4-8-8-4, a Union Pacific F-7, and a Southern Pacific F-7 Route: Cajon Pass
It's the early 60s and a BR Class 27 and a Black 5 travel northbound from Carlisle on the Western Lines of Scotland. All of this would come to an end in 1968 when British Railways withdrew their last remaining steam locos from operation. Only the most efficient and reliable types were kept on and Black 5s would be one of the classes that remained to the end.
