When will this appear on the roadmap? It was said in the release stream that this will come after release and I was expecting it to appear on the roadmap by now. Is it coming?
Even if it is on the roadmap, that doesn't guarantee that it will come anytime soon. The Bakerloo expanded timetable has been on the roadmap since it's existence months ago, and there has been zero progress reports on it.
Not exactly zero....in a recent stream they said this may be removed from the roadmap as it has proven too difficult to implement. I think we'll be hearing more shortly about it
I don’t think we’ll see crocodile implemented until we have a TGV route that has more crocodile enabled track. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s my gut feeling.
Why would it be too difficult? I mean, we already have other complex safety system that were difficult as well, so why just ignore this one?
It's strange because Matt spoke here on the forum some time ago about this issue and said that he knew there was someone working on the crocodile, that they hadn't abandoned it. But no more has been heard about it.
DTG Protagonist - Would appreciate a reply. The Crocodile was mentioned as "coming"™ however there's no sign of it on the roadmap. Is it still coming?
They can still add the crocodile to the route, but I've done all the services and scenarios, so basically completed the route. This is why content should be released only when feature-complete. There is no point in adding a feature 3/4 months after release.
I think they will "optimize" the Crocodile when they have enough "material" to run on it. In other words, a new France railway without LGV (or High Speed Line), because I am almost certain that, like the KVB, the Crocodile only works in the conventional network. At that point they will also add it to Marseille-Avignon (even if, between us, with only one TGV and one single line, it is practically useless)
