The portion of Amtrak's Empire Builder route (Chicago-Seattle/Portland) which skirts Glacier National Park. Whitefish - West Glacier - Essex - East Glacier are each ~25 miles apart; any two for a shortish run or any three for a longish one.
That won't happen, that route is part of BNSFs Northern Transcon near Marias Pass and the Montana Hi Line.
Fair point. ...although it could be done using all leaser rolling stock in Wells Fargo or GATX paint ( a subtle finger to BNSF)
GATX is more of a rail car company, even though they own engines, but the bigger leasing company’s would be FURX, PRLX (progress rail), and maybe LTEX, which is a scrapping company, but would still be cool. But I agree with previous comments, a full route wouldn’t make sense for 2 services, as those leasing company’s can also say no to the license.
