Just played the first tutorial on the Class 43 HST. Must say I am quite impressed. Dovetail did a good job porting this over and the xbox one controller really works well within this train sim. I will have to make some changes to the control scheme (I have an Xbox One Elite controller) and prefer to have the throttle and brake (in two handled locomotives) on the thumb sticks. I am definitely looking forward to what dovetail will bring in the future to TSW on Xbox one.
Can you tell me if you're able to finish the 66 tutorial. I'm stuck after starting the engine. thanks in advance
You flip a switch in front of and just below the reverser, then do a brake check before you set off. The prompts will tell you what to do
Thanks, i'm gonna try again, sure i'm doing something wrong cause after starting the engine i can't do anything else.
I can't get it to acknowledge that I've turned the lights on - that is where my 66 tutorial is hanging up.
I am finding the frame rate quite slow and the graphics do not look optimised at all so much screen tear as well
I think it works well, for the capabilities of the console and aspects of the game such as the size of the map and the AI (in service mode above all) I think it is quite smooth. Obviously it could be more optimized and probably will be after some patches. To be honest I expected it to be much worse than it is.
I agree with the above. I have some minor frame rate issues, but not too bad. For a console effort, dovetail did a great job in porting it over.
hi everyone , first time poster , just got this , never played it before and im struggling a bit , ive played the tutorials but still struggling with the on screen icons , are there any videos anywhere showing the Hud and what the different icons mean ?
http://www.dawlishtrains.com/cabs-loco-class-21-46.html If you scroll down to the class 43 HST, it will show you the layout of all the buttons for that particular loco. The only difference between the one in the above website and the layout in Train sim world, is the right side. It does not have all the switches pictured in the photo, but everything else should be there. I haven't been able to find a cab layout for the 66 and 166 however.
