I was finally able to reproduce Sam's derailment of the TGV on stream without aparent reason. The problem seems to have something to do with the AC pantograph, as it happened like this: I started timetable mode at Marseille and set up the train, but I accidentally raised the AC panto. I then lowered the panto, switched to DC and raised it again, but suddenly the scenario ended, with the same sound being played as you get when you have a SPAD. I had not moved since the beginning of the trip, so I have to assume that it was a derailment, as I did not get any message on the screen because I drive without the HUD.
I'm sure DTG Protagonist will be THRILLED to hear he's not the only one. Maybe everyone at the office will stop teasing him about it now. as for your issue, you're meant to switch from DC to LGV. AC is there, I'm assuming, for use on other routes.
